A blockchain currency has to be 1) fast 2) divisible 3) easy to use. 1 and 2 are absolutely necessary, 3 can be solved with software.

You can buy Junk Land in just about every state in the Union, even in NYS there is junk land, for less than $10k

I take the opposite approach, mostly because I don't have any money.
I own an absolute fuck-ton of MOON because its already worth the smallest fraction of BTC
If MOON can gain on its value of 0.00000001 BTC, 100% instant return. As it is, I ride the price of BTC, its worth more than I paid assuming I can sell it.
These are projects people can choose to work on, market, and increase. In time I may choose to do so.

MANA is a middle play for me, its on Coinbase, so it has liquidity. Its value is tied to something other than 'it can be traded for the other top 15 coins'.
Corporations have been trying for decades to get VR in your face, this could get trendy fast, if certain industries back it. Partnering with Unity is a big deal, there are lots of people who want to make video games and don't have a platform to share - Not everyone can get a shot on the Playstation ...

1 point to keep in mind there were 130 whale wallets created the last 10dys 1000+btc avg quote $35000 and those whales
created the wallets to take crypto off the exchanges meaning by past experience they are stashing going after big returns over a
intermediate to longer time frames. Like I have mentioned in my other post the BTC Bull run is still in play ATHs on the way.

I feel like most investments I've seen that are aggressive, but not crazy risky, tend to give ~6-10% CAGR. If it's real estate, you need to make sure you combine appreciation with rental cash flow when calculating CAGR (and possibly also tax savings). With low priced RE, such as rural/ghetto/undesirable homes, usually most of your money comes from cash flow from rents, and very little from appreciation. Conversely, with high priced RE in major job growth areas, it's not uncommon for a house to be worth 1-2 million, but only rent for $48k / yr. After rental expenses, that's probably like 2-4% CAGR from rents, but you'll likely see appreciation bump you up quite a bit towards that 6-10% range.

In fact, with many high priced homes, you can't charge enough rent to cover the mortgage payment + expenses - you come out of pocket somewhat, but many people do it with the hope appreciation will save them.

If decentraland plots are renting at 120/yr, thats 12% + potential appreciation, which is good, although I question how many can rent it at that rate if some are allowing free tenancy. But, I'd imagine the risk is very high. And if like you said, many are renting for free, it sounds like the majority are just holding it as a moonshot on appreciation.
