I think the Chester the Molester cartoonist was eventually jailed for pedo in real life. Yeah, Hustler was gross but funny. They need to put feminists and IHLs in prison cells with nothing to read but old Hustler magazines.

Nobody ever said that they read Hustler 'for the articles' like they did with Playboy.

I was always super stoked to find my a new issue in my dad's stash. I always thought that someone should compile all the Chester the Molester cartoons and reprint them, but it looks like the artist (Dwaine B. Tinsley) was a scumbag (molested his own daughter), so it'll probably never happen.

I remember seeing "Chester the Molester" cartoons in my Dad's 70s Hustlers. When Carter took office, one was "Mr. President, your daughter's new babysitter is here!" with a beaming Jimmy Carter and a sketchy out of place looking Chester at the White House door, holding a duffel bag with a baseball bat protruding. At some point the cartoons changed to "Chester the Protector." Decades later I found an article about Tinsley online, which gave the impression this was less a true come to Jesus event than trying to put on a good show while on trial for molesting his daughter.

Not the articles or pictures for me but the cartoons. Hustler published Hustler Humor for a few years, a magazine of just dirty and politically incorrect cartoons. I bought it regularly.

I was always more of a Trosley fan. Unlike Tinsley who's "also a molester," George Trosley besides his dirty cartoonist gig at Hustler is more famous for his hot rod illustrations, and defined the "monster rod" art genre. I've always wanted to commission a custom Trosley, and may yet do it.

I would think he would be outraged at the state of the first ammendment nowadays.

I never played poker with him...my finances aren’t nearly in that realm, but watched him play several times and played at the tables near him a couple times.
