Laws? Yes! Government? NO!

The problem with Government regulators and departments. Is they can flux in and out of regulating through popularity and people's feelz, rather than just keeping it honest to the intent of the law.

There should be laws, and those laws should be enforced by the law enforcement agencies. America's biggest problem is we've got all of these Agencies doing jobs, Lawmen should be doing. While nobody get prosecuted for any crimes, unless you got an R by your name.

I heard him for the first time on a Sunday night driving back to Santa Cruz from Berkeley.
I’m gonna guess it was before the 89 earthquake, but I’m not sure.
He was funny as I recall.

A liberal replacement would be a bust. They already tried "Air America" and a few others.

Limbaugh was among the first to exploit the repeal of the Fairness Doctrine in 1987 and was recently an enthusiastic superspreader of Trump’s desperate lie that the Democrats stole the 2020 election. —an historic attack on America’s democracy

Limbaugh’s national reach on talk radio excited right-wing rage and episodes of violence using taunts, lies, and misleading exaggerations. They found Limbaugh’s lies deliciously entertaining especially on the long commute.

Limbaugh saturated America’s airwaves with cruel bigotries, lies and conspiracy theories for over three decades,

A full accounting of Limbaugh’s lies and exaggerations; his racism and his misogyny; his homophobia and his Islamophobia; and his sheer cruelty could fill books — and have

Limbaugh’s monologues included quotes such as “Feminism was established as to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream of society.”

He branded feminists as “feminazis,” joked about people dying from AIDS, and did sounds meant to simulate on-air abortions.

In 2012, Limbaugh referred to Sandra Fluke, a Georgetown University student, as a “slut” and “prostitute” after she testified about contraception before a congressional committee.

While he claimed to represent the views of the average American, Limbaugh lived for years as a caricature of an East Coast elite in his luxury condo overlooking Central Park in New York City. He sold the property in 2010 for $11.5 million, moving primarily to a sprawling mansion in Palm Beach, Florida, where he lived until his death.
Meanwhile, Limbaugh used his platform to condemn policies designed to actually help working class Americans. He fervently opposed the expansion of public health care and said an Obama-era health insurance program for low-income children “ought to die.” He condemned taxes against the ultra-rich, such as himself, and fled New York after the proposal of increased taxes on millionaires.
In 2006, Limbaugh — despite once saying that all drug addicts should be convicted and “sent up the river” — struck a plea deal with prosecutors in Florida after being charged with prescription fraud. Limbaugh, who admitted to being an oxycodone addict, was accused of “doctor shopping,” the act of deliberately deceiving physicians in order to receive multiple prescriptions.

After an avowed white supremacist massacred 51 Muslims inside two New Zealand mosques in 2019, Limbaugh speculated on air that the shooter “may in fact be a leftist” who shot Muslims “to smear” those on the right.
A day after a mob of Trump supporters — among them white supremacists and militia members — stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, ransacking the seat of American democracy, Limbaugh falsely told his listeners no looting had occurred and that the protesters only “took selfies.”

It's pretty obvious the election was stolen. If it wasn't, Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube wouldn't have to have placed "fact checkers" everywhere to assure everybody that Biden did actually win, and there would be no need for 25,000 National Guard troops in DC which are going to be stationed there for probably 4 years.

Personally, I think some serious grave dancing is in order.

I've heard conservative talk radio since I was a lad in the 70s, and started listening to Rush within his first year of syndication despite being more of a classic liberal type, so I have a long before and after timeline based on personal experience. Rush was first out of the gate with the post fairness doctrine hyperpolarizing ad hom/strawman formula that came to influence or outright define right wing talk radio from the mid-90s onward. He was funny and listenable at first, but once he tasted the power of polarizing, it was off and running.

This had a strong effect on the nation's Conservative population. I know a woman wrote a book about "losing" her Father to extreme hateful ideology after a few years of truck driving on a steady diet of Rush and formula. I experienced this with my own parents; my conservative Dad would go into what we called "Angry Donald Duck mode", literally sputtering vaguenesses like"These liberals... just don't GET it!" My Mom, a liberal who donated to Planned Parenthood regularly for decades, shocked me with an F-bomb laced tirade about "Sandra Flock being a fucking slut who just wants everyone else to fucking pay for all her birth control because of all the sex she's having"

What both listeners and observers of the Rush phenomenon seldom acknowledge: Listeners aren't the customers, they are the PRODUCT. They were purchased by Neocons and sold a promise of security in exchange for much of their liberty, through the TSA and Patriot Act to name the biggest.

It was funny/tragic listening to Rush selling his listeners obesity epidemic contributing high fructose corn syrup as "The best stuff on earth!" with the same formula as he got them polarized on political positions. "If you're just TIRED of all the FIZZ!"

Speaking of epidemics, Rush aggressively sold the Drug War (another liberty graveyard) and called liberals "Long haired, dope smoking, maggot infested hippies" several times per program, yet got HIMSELF hooked on the hard-but-legal stuff and doctor shopped his way to losing his hearing, so vital to his career. Instead of having any shred of integrity and shunning him, his fans seemed to love Rush MORE for this.

"But he was successful!" He raked in a shit ton of money, but was in bad health and morbidly obese much of his life and couldn't seem to keep a spouse.

"But he was a great voice for conservatives!" He did a lot to hurt himself, the conservative brand, and the interpersonal relationships of his listeners with his polarization tactics. A demented role model.

He helped sell a lot of conservative bullshit to the right wing public, from supply side economics, to the entire Neocon era and two bullshit wars on a credit card we've only added more debt to since, not paid down a dime. He was like the Biff Tannen of broadcasting, larger than life and maybe fascinating to observe from afar, but will exploit and fuck up everything close enough to get his hands on for perverse incentives. I actually remember when talk radio and political discourse were different and better before Rush.

It's rare that I'd say this about somebody, but I believe America and its conservative political "brand" would have been better off without Rush and the E.I.B.S. network having existed.

Absolutely this is true. What Limbaugh did was essentially end the existence of news, and trot in the era of just propaganda.

People sometimes don't know what it means that "the users are the product". The point of people like Limbaugh wasn't to inform his listeners, it was to turn them into loyal people that would vote for anybody that Limbaugh promoted no matter how bad the policies were of that person.

The Iraq War was a complete and total lie but support had to be created in order to make that war happen and continue. All our wars are lies.

Now people are turned into products all the time. Facebook does this, Twitter does this, Youtube does this. All of our "news" organizations do. There's no journalistic integrity, there's blatant promotion of propaganda, distortion of information, the prevention of sharing information. Seems like it began with Limbaugh. Good riddance to him, he was terrible person with no ethics or morals.

It's a propaganda organ for the establishment.

Fox news lied incessantly about the phantom weapons of mass destruction program in Iraq. I remember one time they were reporting that "yellow cake was discovered!" - well, what actually happened is that Iraq disclosed their possession in something like 1993 - it was going to be used for the nuclear power plant Iraq was building, but Israel blew it up.

My objection to Limbaugh was his gross hypocrisy. He was an opioid addict - he became addicted when prescribed them. He'd been ranting on how drug users ought to face extremely harsh penalties and there's no excuse to be addicted to drugs. He also got caught smuggling Viagra into I think Indonesia when on vacation - he went alone.

He was just not a very morally responsible person. My parents used to listen to him all the time, but I've got excerpts where he would back off when he got too close over the target. He once talked about the "deep state" and got some sort of warning and never brought it up again. He didn't do anything to educate the public, and I consider him generally gutless. His job was to create the false impression the the Democrats opposed the Republicans at the party level - they don't. They're the same fucking party.

Rush was 10X more serious and truthful than John Stewart. All Steward did was selectively edit video clips to make Republicans look bad and than mug for the camera. Stewart and Comedy Central are mainly responsible for the garbage media we have today.

If we didn't have Rush pioneer the way, we would still be stuck with even more Democrat monolithic control over the 3 networks, CNN, PBS, NPR and the big city newspapers.

No, the Daily Show at the time wasn't cherry picking news clips at the time, they were pointing out our media LIED, and lied a lot.

There used to be a guy on youtube whose phrase was "I watch Fox news so you don't have to" - all he did was point out what Fox news misrepresented or outright lie about.

The Daily Show came to an end for me when (and Stewart) when Obama got into office because he was just as bad if not worse than Bush was. All the commentators I used to respect for telling the truth, began to lie. Rachael Maddow and Keith Olberman to name a two of them. Obama was every bit of a Neocon warmonger as Bush was. That's when my eyes really opened up and all the "principled people" I knew became dumb zombies that would support any insane murderous bullshit that Obama did. The anti-war movement disappeared, the same shit continued to happen.

The democratic and republican parties are identical. Only their lies differ.

Mitch McConnell is married to Elaine Chao - her family is controls a great deal of shipping between China and the United States. Trump interfered with that. McConnell is purposely offshoring US manufacturing jobs to enrich himself and his wife's family. He's scum.

Limbaugh regularly distorted information and promoted ANYTHING the Republican party did as "good". Was it good our nation violated the Geneva Conventions to start a war of aggression in Iraq? You know why we partially did that? Hussein was actually a popular leader and was a Ba'athist - this is a trans-Arabic party whose goal is to united the Middle East and reduce conflict. Basically, to make union of the Middle Eastern states so they could better protect their interests against not only the United States but Europe, Russia and China. The powers of the world keep those nations in chaos and poverty to exploit them more easily. They do the same in Africa.

Stewart left because all the criticisms he made of Bush weren't going to be allowed when Obama did the same thing which Obama did.

He quit instead of selling out. Stephen Colbert sold out, hard.

Bush deserved all the criticism he got. He was a terrible president. Obama was given a pass, he was as much of a Neocon cocksucker as Bush was, if not worse, and I think probably worse. Obama didn't do anything positive for this nation.

I don't recall any militarization under Trump.

Antifa and BLM were allowed to run wild for 9 months, now magically they are gone - because they were useful idiots of the intelligence agencies.

They should have been allowed to run wild as well. It shows you just how criminal our federal government is. There's been plenty of arson, vandalism, rape, murders by these two groups - name anybody that has been convicted for these crimes? None, because our government is criminal and these people whether they know it or not work for our government.

Yes, this is true, but at the time Fox news was the most obvious propaganda. Of course all of it is, but normies weren't ready for that truth back in 2004.

You can only go so far when educating people about their actual reality. You can't just come out and say, back in 2005, all of our news, ALL of it is propaganda.

Fox, at the time, was blatantly lying about the weapons of mass destruction program. At the time, they were by far, hands down, the most dishonest propaganda calling themselves "news". George W. Bush decimated the Republican party then by being such a fucking liar, and Fox news helped. Good riddance to those corporate Neocon warmonger whores. If it wasn't for him being such a slimeball, we could have ended up with Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton as president in 2016, instead of Trump.

Trump discredited CNN, MSNBC and other networks. Bush did it unwittingly, Trump knew what he was doing, and good riddance to the fuckers. Now Biden is doing it unwittingly. Our "news" has no choice but to support him after 4 years of whining about how Trump is insane, crazy, a warmonger, a traitor to the nation. It's almost best that Biden is president, even though he wasn't elected, because he's going to be an absolutely terrible president just like Obama was just like Bush was.

Now you can see the real difference between the party leadership - there is none.

Neocons aren't conservatives. They are "former Marxists" - seriously. No kidding. They aren't and never have been conservatives. They are authoritarians. Their attempt in the 1960's and previously was to promote communism, and when that didn't work out they supposedly "switched" and became "conservatives".

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neoconservatism#History

Communism didn't work, so they moved to fascism.

Fox promotes the establishment. They will lie, they will distort, they will omit information to give their listeners an incomplete level of information needed to make an informed decision. EVERY "news" source does this now. You just listened to 4 years of lies about Trump being a Putin Puppet, a racist, a fascist, blah blah blah. He's the first president we've had in at least 30 years, the rest are merely puppets.

The people who control this nation couldn't care less if it's fascism or communism - so long as they have control. Fox will never tell you that. No "news" organization will.

Neoconservatives are not at ALL Republicans. They're perfectly happy with a meat puppet like Biden as "president" - they control him. When was it a conservative doctrine to lie the nation into fucking wars that never end and have no stated mission? When was it a "conservative" ideal to make trade with a nation that makes use of slave labor with a government that is just installed like China?

We don't even have a free market system, we have an economic system where the government determines which businesses receive taxpayer funds for bailouts and who doesn't. There is no republican party today. It's just fascists, with a handful of republicans in the party.

Fox news promotes this bullshit. If a Republican president advocated eating babies, they'd defend it. They aren't conservative, they are propaganda. Just like MSNBC is. They have no principles.

I don't think you people even know what a Fascist is.
Necons was a buzz word invented in the 90's to make Bill Clinton palatable.

RINO's can mean anything, they simply aren't Republicans but run on a Republican ticket for self serving vested interests.
They could be serving the Commies, or Serving Big Business.

The only Fascist in all of American History was the Robber Barons in early last Century, if you didn't agree with them, they sent the Pinkertons over to slaughter your whole Shanty town. And now they have reared back up in modern Democrats. Beating the shit out of people that don't agree with their politics, and the Tech execs that use their platforms to silence opposition, just like the Pinkertons, did for the Robber Barons.

The Left own the Fascist moniker 100%, it's disingenuous to even suggest that Republicans are Fascists. Especially where it pertains to Donald Trump and his supporters.

I don't subscribe to the "equally bad" narrative. Yes, many valid points but it's much better for the avg. productive upper middle class citizen to follow the fox doctrine. There's no way denying that, that's why conservatism works better, you're mostly being left alone. Even if they go to useless wars outside the nation, at least you don't have wars inside the nation.

Your link says otherwise. I didn't read the entire thing but this part: Historically speaking, the term neoconservative refers to those who made the ideological journey from the anti-Stalinist left to the camp of American conservatism during the 1960s and 1970s.

Which then links anit-Stalinist left to:

This term also refers to the high ranking political figures and governmental programs that opposed Joseph Stalin and his form of communism, like Leon Trotsky and other left wing traditional Marxists.

Not that I trust wikipedia for anything... Maybe they supported some other form of Marxism that wasn't traditional?

Eugenics - the genocide against rural Whites by mostly Fabian Socialists, Progressive Denominations ("Social Gospel"), and a handful of Racial Purists - never mentioned.

At least half a million non-criminal Whites, usually teens, were sterilized from 1920s-1960s.

Basically the same class, religion (if nominal now), and ethnicity as the Gates and Buffets.

Woke History avoids it largely because it's benefactors and ancestors (Ayers, Cloward, Pliven) were the instigators.

Automan Empire says
It was funny/tragic listening to Rush selling his listeners obesity epidemic contributing high fructose corn syrup as "The best stuff on earth!" with the same formula as he got them polarized on political positions. "If you're just TIRED of all the FIZZ!"

So did Howard and 90% of other radio jockeys. Shock Jock/Talk Radio marketing was how Snapple got famous.

Howard is now so full of shit he wrote in his last book about how he never used the N word. Ted Danson did Blackface, in the 90s and Howard and Sherman Hensley had a whole skit on it. Damn hypocrites, the lot of 'em.

RINO's can mean anything, they simply aren't Republicans but run on a Republican ticket for self serving vested interests.
They could be serving the Commies, or Serving Big Business.

Probably the most succinct definition of the term RINO.
