I still can't decide if the virus thing is a complete fraud or not.

I'm confident that it's at least a partial fraud designed to take down the economy and therefore Trump after impeachment and removal failed in January of 2020. And that the WHO is now fucking with test standards to bring down cases to benefit Bezos/Biden/China.

One former student of mine works with it, I think they even sequences the virus. So it can't be a complete fraud, just a partial one.

I got my first shot (moderna) yesterday. So far, its only sore where they poked me. I take my second shot 30 days from now. I'm 68-years-old and a disabled veteran. I work in a VA Hospital, around patients. I have to take the vaccination or I can't work with patients. Our nurses tell me the second shot is the hard one to take.

Yes. My sister just got her 2nd shot last week. Mind you she has lupus, but she said the reaction was pretty bad and she's still feeling exhausted. I'm not touching the stuff and don't have to.

There's clearly a large amount of false positive/negatives. If we cannot get an accurate test of the actual virus, I really don't understand how there can be a vaccine. Hated biology, but numbers don't lie and if we can't test correctly I'm not taking it.

That’s better. Sources have found that taking the second shot too soon after the first leads to more severe symptoms. Better to space it out a bit.

@Hircus, if WHO had instructed them prior to this to use 40 then yeah, they set up a lot of false positives. Dropping to 35 will definitely result in fewer 'cases'.

The kid situation is rough. I fortunately live rural. It's agreed NOT to follow any mandates or EO's. If you're a Karen in public you'd get destroyed. Walk in with a mask and you get the side eye.

The school situation sucks as we're still only doing half days and the kids are "required" to wear masks. We've been hanging out like normal and sending the kids over to friends houses as usual. A few parents are cautious, but it's pretty normal here and has been the whole time. When I go to the suburbs of Chicago, I'm like how the fuck do you people live this way? It's not healthy mentally or physically.

Granny ain't gonna live forever. Unfortunately I think in urban areas masks are here to stay. Sucks traveling. What my biggest fear is if a vaccine "mandate" comes along for travel.

The whole idea that you should "update" software from Google or Apple so that they can "protect" you from viruses is ludicrous.

The point of the updates is to install the latest spyware to invade your privacy. They themselves are a far bigger risk than viruses.

Everyone should be running Linux. Problem is, there is no company behind it, so it takes some effort and most people are allergic to effort.

(Says the guy writing this on a Mac. But still, I do plan to get back to Linux laptops. And I never update my laptop.)

Not really allergic to effort, but when you need to get stuff done you have no time to waste figuring out how to get Ubuntu to work on your network printer.

That kinda fits with what someone told me about Windows 25 years ago: it's not really an operating system, it's just a collection of drivers for proprietary hardware.

Hell, not sure I trust Ubuntu either. As I recall, they were quietly reporting user activity back to their mother ship years ago.
