One of my guinea pigs has been experimenting with novel ways of getting Quercetin into the body.
Since it's not very bioavailable, a lot of us are taking 1000 mg with the hope that some 100-200 mgs are absorbed.
Here's a hack, empty a 500 mg capsule into a dish with olive oil, as it's lipo-phillic. Stir it up and then chop up a slice of onion. Mix the two into a pan and stir fry the combo for a couple of minutes.
What this does is bind the sugars of the onion with the Quercetin so that the digestive system can absorb it better and get more of it in the bloodstream and cells. FYI, onion is also a good source of Quercetin but one slice has nowhere near 500 mgs.
