Under UV exposure the body produces something on the order of 100,000 IU of D. It is practically impossible to overdose on D3 unless you're taking about 50,000 IU daily, and even then, the overdose effects are not immediately life-threatening, unlike too much iron or selenium.

Somewhere between 20,000 and 50,000 is the optimum in the cold of winter. Just keep ramping it up until you see side effects, then drop down to a lower dose where symptoms don't manifest.

D3 is fat soluble, which means that all that summer sun has stockpiled in your body fat. This is another reason why excess D3 isn't harmful - it's stored in your fat, as opposed to circulating in your bloodstream and damaging your liver and kidneys.

I suspect that this is a scare tactic to make people go vax their kids to “beat the rush” or “get ready for next semester” or just because “we’re going to have to do it eventually.”

The FDA has been increasingly hesitant to recommend the vax to kids or even boosters for under 65s. Other countries like the UK and Sweden have halted the vax for kids completely citing credible safety concerns and upside down risk/reward stats. I know Democrats would love the vax to be approved for kids, but it might not be in the cards. I hope, anyways, that the FDA has at least SOME remaining integrity that they won’t authorize full-scale biological warfare on fucking CHILDREN!
