Anyone get vaxxed?

I know a few and they sound like absolute shit, and both feel like absolute crap.

Anyone else?

Why the fuck are people injecting themselves with a non-FDA approved biological agent?

And what the fuck are people afraid of, when this covid has a 99.97% survival rate?

I don't understand this level of retardedness... Or maybe I am just super, over the top, fucking retarded, that I can't understand this shit.

You really should put him/her on ignore. There is no value in talking to him/her.

No value... lol. The guy doesn't even tip people that get paid sub minimum wage because they're considered a "server" or whatever for take out. Literally says getting take out is saving him money on TIPS, yet is a big baller in crypto?

You don't brag about "massive" gains and worry about tipping. It's guys like this that are the REASON we get bad service at a restaurant or service industry. Tips are shared in most cases among staff, so you're fucking over the guy/gal that made your food (cook) for $10-15/hr. But hey, at least he got off his ass to get take out and wore his mask after being vaccinated like a good little sheep only to shit on the people serving him. Lol, you can't even make this shit up.

I definitely agree ignore should be used. I can moderate when he gets out of bounds though with others, so I don't ignore. I'm feeding I know, but I gotta call BS when I smell it.

correct. tipping on take out food was never a thing and nobody expects this.....if i sit down, eat a nice steak, have some good german pilsners and receive good service I love to tip above and beyond. If I eat at home (take out food) and my wife has to clean up, she gets a nice tip....in a sexual way. If you like to tip on take out food be my guest. I support you and I wont shame you.

That's great! Restaurants were only open for take out here.....so, I had to pick it up and save money on tipping.

Ouch. You don't tip for carry out? During a "pandemic" where businesses could barely stay open and employees were/are struggling to make ends meet? Alright....

Well it's the businesses faults for caving to everything. Most give you shitty service now and tack on all sorts of fees to cover for the policies the idiots enacted they elected. Fuck this, I'm cooking myself mostly these days whenever I find time. Nobody is giving me any "tip" on my 10 hour daily progamming shift.

You're not paid minimum wage.

Look, if you cannot afford the tip, you can't afford to go out to eat.

First of all it's not my fucking problem if ones job doesn't pay more - maybe reducing competition from illegal aliens will drive ones wages up, or maybe ones qualifications are just shitty. Second, I've known many waitresses who deliberately put off any "higher" education because they made $200k+ during the good years easily, so they should have plenty for the bad years, not to mention that quite a bit of that is tax free. Many "higher" degrees jobs pay minimum wage or only slightly more, and the minimum wage in SF is $15 which is quite high for a job where you do get tips if you actually serve your guests. Third, if a billionaire wants my coding skills and hires me for an hourly wage I should expect them to give me a couple grand of tips because they own and make 100x of what I do? No, you get paid for the job you do and if you do it well, esp. in the service industry, you get tipped quite well by everybody according to their means. Add in all those scam mandates the customer already has to pay on top of the bill and the service should be exceptional. I don't tip for take-out, I'd rather use the money and invite Patrick to a few glasses of wine for providing excellent SERVICE for his website. I've worked plenty of minimum or close to minimum wage jobs in my younger years, never expected any tips, esp. if I didn't render any services beyond what was agreed upon in the initial (low)-wage contract.

While we're at it - what's with all the restaurants and their apps setting the minimum tippable percentage to 20%, 25% and 30% (few have 18% as minimum), so you have to hit custom tip if you do want to tip that much and it takes like 5 minutes to enter the amount. I have hit no tip occasionally in such cases and politely but assertively explained that if they set the bar that high and custom simply takes too long they may have to get used to getting 0%. Why not 50%? Just double the whole fucking bill, why not! How about you pick up your car from the mechanic and they tell you they did a great job so they added 20% gratuity, and so the bill is $2400 instead of $2000? Would you say sure! here's an extra $400, take my money! If so, Godspeed to you, you're a better man ;)

I agree, we need to get back to a service industry mentality. You serve me well I will show my appreciation. If you treat me like a king at a restaurant or deliver me food on time and not mess it up, I gladly tip you well. But yeah we must have had hyperinflation in the tipping industry, So, now you're an asshole if you tip $20 or $30 on a $200 meal with average service, ok then, so be it.

Spot on....in other countries they dont even tip at all. If you are in the service industry and want more for doing less, maybe its time to get a real job. You shouldnt make serving people at a restaurant your life long career and bet on people tipping more for less. Back in the day, being a server was meant to be a short term gig while getting your degree.

If you believe the US government would kill its own people you should join the jihadists.

Well the US government sure didn't have a fucking problem with killing off JFK, doing the Tuskegee Trials, doing Project MKUltra, or letting people die at the US Consulate in Benghazi Libya. Certainly didn't have a problem ordering police to stand down, and let BLM and Antifa burn, loot, and murder for 8 months. Funny that all just went away after Joe Biden was "elected" isn't it? Well, they were part of US intelligence operations, although I'm absolutely certain (well know for a fact) that most of the useful idiots don't realize they were. See? You don't have to realize you're part of a conspiracy to be part of a conspiracy.

You simply repeat the same statement, and ignore that I've even addressed what I consider your incorrect "opinion", an "opinion" I'm certain you are well aware is incorrect. You've taken no issue with very clearly documented examples of where innocent US citizens were victimized and abandoned by the US federal government. Of course the US government sacrifices its citizens to promote agendas. Clearly they do, but you ignore that fact, and simply reiterate your statement that the US federal government wouldn't allow innocent civilians to die to promote an agenda. They have.

Reasonably, I do not believe you are engaging in a sincere conversation. Mindlessly repeating the same thing as if your statement hasn't been at all challenged, that's what propagandists and trolls do - and in reality, they don't differ much - just one is stupid enough to work for free.

On the contrary, many SF downtown bars/restaurants with at least a slight uspcale feeling could easily yield $200k for servers (esp. female), of course that was before the covidiotic shutdowns when life was buzzing. You don't have to believe it but they will tell you it's true. One of my friends deliberately postponed law school for more than 5 years to keep waitressing, and counting back then. You may not get this outside of coastal elite territory, but I've seen braggars and rick fucks tip her $50 on a $100 bill time and time again, and occasionally more than the "principal". Most of that money is not taxed since you're averaged at 10% tips, for a resonably attractive and friendly waitress tips are easily 30%-50% if not more. Can only speak for SF bay area of course, but you better believe it. The area is flush with tech multi-millionaires, now moreso than ever, they just can't spend it locally cause of the covidiot shutdowns. By the way the guys hailing you cabs at the big Vegas casinos make $250k in a slow year. Just because one doesn't have or need an education doesn't mean they can't make money (much better than a degree in genderquack).

Many people in food service make little in wage and most in tips. I knew a young lady who made over $200 a night in tips for a 4 hour shift at an upscale SF restaurant while paid a very low "tipped wage". She was working her way through college.

Some people make bad life choices and then pay for it in menial jobs. I have always said to young people, "The harder you work now, the less hard you will have to work later".

That guy standing on his feet in a mask bagging your food and taking your money for 8 hours a shift is probably making minimal wage. At the end of the shift they get to split what ever goes in the tip jar with the cook. A buck in the bucket will show them that they are appreciated. They work hard and are preparing your food.

I've been lucky. Never had to work retail or food service. My first job was sweeping floors and cleaning toilets at the local bowling alley. Got paid a sandwich and a couple of bucks in quarters under the table so I could play pinball and pool when I was done.

The owner of this little 8 alley place noticed I had a mechanical aptitude so he taught me how to fix and maintain the pinsetters. That led to many other mechanical jobs including working on nuclear submarines for the DoD before I became a smuggler to put myself through college.

Never earned tips.

I'm not saying serving/waitressing isn't a hard job, it's pretty tough, but then again, I'd say being a cook in a greasy unventilated kitchen is far more brutal and unhealthy. I used to delver "free" "newspapers" with ads nobody wanted (except for a few old folks), did care and entertainment (close to a nurse job) for old/disabled people (in the most hardcore cases incl. changing diapers) and/or cleaning their homes and/or cooking for them, etc. etc. All for a relative pittance. Didn't get many "tips", some of the old and disabled people were so dissatisfied with their life that they let their anger out on those helping them, how's that for tips. Just don't expect me to shed a tear for waiters and bartenders, it's a service job like many others, but likely a more interesting/desirable one as you get to meet a lot of people, even if the base pay is low.

Don't be a douche bag and not tip though ;) These aren't normal times and people working at sit down restaurants are broke, especially in a state like CA that is poorly run. I don't care about past times. This is 1,000% different.

I guess from this thread being a decent human is done. I can live with that, but my judgement won't change. If you're too poor to tip because you have to pick up your own food because the government shuts a restaurant down you like, you're the problem in America. You should support fellow Americans that are small business owners and their employees. And if you can't afford a measly tip, maybe stop eating out and put gas in the car to get a job. That's always an option.

And I get tipping like Americans do is not normal in the rest of the world. The reason? Everyone else and other countries are selfish ass holes. There's a reason the world wars started in Europe. Go to Mexico and tip a little bit. You'll be treated like royalty as the Europeans bitch about service because they think they "deserve" good service just for showing up.

I think some of you guys need to get out of CA from time to time. Not move, but go somewhere else and learn reality. You're not living it.

Or you can use cash. Or swipe a card and pay 10%. Or 5%. Just don't be the cheap ass that won't pay people willing to work during a supposed pandemic.

I've never understood people that are anti-tipping. If you can't afford it, just don't go out to eat or have people make food for you. It's not complicated. Clearly you cannot afford it if you can't throw someone $10-20. It's not complex.

Nope. I know close to a dozen restaurant owners and hang somewhat frequently. We go out to eat 2-3 times per week as a family or solo because of activities with kids. My wife was a server in college. All her sisters served. My one SIL serves still. MIL managed a popular restaurant and golf course.

Go own a business. Learn what it takes to keep employees or even IC's happy. Network with people and you'd be surprised who you meet and what you can learn.

My business now is for fun and I have no employees. The beauty of it is that a $20-$100 tip is a complete nothing burger. I'm not a cheapskate. It's the system we use in America. Servers can be paid less than minimum wage. The cooks are likely close to minimum wage. I'd rather be in charge of redistribution of my own wealth instead of government. So I tip well. This really isn't complex. Be a good human.

They can't do anything with it. They'd have to know your zip code 9 out of 10 times. Unless you're a regular at a local place, they're not going to know your zip. And the fraud protection on CC's is great. I've had CC companies initiate fraud claims I didn't even know about. We check the statement/account on all cards almost weekly.

Points are huge though at restaurants if you find a place you like. SW offer 3X's points at certain restaurants plus the point per dollar. So 4 points per dollar. We eat out a lot and one of the restaurants we like is a 4 banger. Annually just eating there 20 times will pay for 2 round trip flights.

I should clarify. Besides swiping it in the restaurant itself. If they try to use the number and CCV on the back online, it almost always needs a zip and matching address. They wouldn't know that.

If someone tells me that waiters are broke, knows so much about the business and gets offended when you say you dont want to tip if there is no service or really bad service, then it makes me think that person might be a waiter and doesnt want to admit it.
