Not Stalin, but might be Vitamin-D Deficiency. In the northern part of the US, percentage of blacks in the local population is much lower than in southern US, and that is not entirely due to slavery (which would have driven blacks north to where slavery was abolished). Darker skin tone blocks out UV, and that results in Vitamin-D deficiency, which both weakens the person's immune system against respiratory diseases and weakens bone and teeth structure. This process may have happened multiple times repeatedly. The lighter skin tone enabled more efficient Vitamin-D generation under UV light from the Sun, resulting in both more resilience towards respiratory diseases and better teeth and bones (i.e. larger stature, which is also more energy efficient in colder high latitude / high altitude regions due to lower surface-to-volume ratio). The nomads coming out of the steppes north of the Caucasus had the additional advantage of milk as primary food source (calcium and Vitamin D) and mobility in warfare (horses). In pre-industrial time, logistics regarding troops' food supply was always a major difficulty: it was much easier for armies from starving areas to invade food-surplus areas than vice-versa, because moving food was difficulty in pre-industrial times. An invading army could use local food supply when arriving in a rich food-surplus area, whereas an army from the rich food-producing area would be starving to death in a desolate country. Likewise, a Dravidian army invading northern nomadic Vedic lands would never be able to stay and consolidate their gains because the original Vedic lands in the north couldn't feed such an invasion army; whereas an army from the desolate north could easily stay and occupy the food-rich south. For Europe, the map is turned side ways (due to warm ocean current warming up the western seaboard of Europe): the cold and dry interior in east Europe (today's European Russia) vs. the wet and warm food-rich western and southern Europe. Once a nomadic tribe consolidates its gains in the new food rich area, its aristocracy gradually becomes sedantary (and their skin tone gradually gets darker in order to adapt to the new environment warding off skin cancer), and after a few hundred years becomes ripe for invasion by its distant cousins from the desolate ancestral land again (and the poor schmucks in the desolate area would keep trying until they succeeded, while always be able to withdraw to desolate area / high broken hills like the Caucasus and Afganistan / Iranian Plateau after each failed attempt). Just because "two" people are related doesn't mean one can not "conquer" the other. It's best not to understand "conquest" in terms of glory but in terms of pestilence (befalling the corrupt).

No way is it just a theory. The genetics and the language prove that everywhere from Iceland to Bangladesh was occupied by Indo-European men.

its a little more complicated than that. European Western Hunter gatherers, who were the original inhabitants of Europe, also carried R1b:

Excavations in E. Europe showed that these individuals who lived about 8000 years before present were estimated to be of 85% WHG and 15% EHG descent. The males at these sites carried exclusively haplogroup R1b1a and I (mostly subclades of I2a) haplotypes. mtDNA belonged mostly to U (particularly subclades of U5 and U4).

So you're saying that R1a and b precedes the Indo-European languages in Europe? Could be.

But it's still clear that R1a and b have very similar territories to places where Indo-European languages are spoken.

Here's what you're missing, much of Alexander's army, on the way to India were Persian soldiers of fortune (a.k.a mercenaries), not the original troops from Macedonia which had defeated Darius during earlier campaigns.

So if someone married a so-called Greek woman, it's not a lot different from marrying let's say a Persian woman but from Anatolia, not necessarily Greece.
