There isn’t any available data to suggest Chappelle’s Netflix special or his stories and jokes have resulted in actual physical attacks against anyone other than Chappelle himself. There hasn’t been a reported murder or suicide that has implicated Chappelle or his material.

But the activist side of the trans community has decided that resorting to violence against comedy is justified. This will not be the last time the media chooses to ignore this trend, too busy trying to remove Chappelle from the public discourse.

Words are not violence. Only violence is violence, and the only person to suffer actual violence has been Dave Chappelle.

Also, that's fucking sloppy surgery. My dog had less of a scar when she had a uterectomy. He was a competent surgeon though.

Consider this picture, it's two young girls that are going through sex transition surgery. They'd have been better off as just being lesbians, now they are both aberrations. I feel badly for them. Terrible parents.

There is something that created us, it may have consciousness, perhaps not - it may just be a process. It may be a process that is far FAR beyond our comprehension and understanding, and if it is is, it may as well be divine. Our own consciousness may be an illusion, we could possibly be entirely mechanisms, but that doesn't mean there's no morality it doesn't remove our kindness and attention and goodness.

One thing I do know for certain is that our so-called authorities are not god and I'm very doubtful they are "good".

To be sure, this is still a rant couched firmly in the assumptions of progressivism. Which makes sense because Maher is a liberal. He takes pains to assure his audience that he mostly supports transgender ideology anyway, for instance; he also suggests that very young children who think they are trans might actually just be gay, for another.

Still, spending this much time on such bracingly critical commentary about transgenderism...it's extremely rare these days outside of conservative commentators. To see Maher doing it is very encouraging.

Here is the absolutely critical point Maher makes over the course of the monologue:

[I]t's okay to ask questions about something that's very new and involves children. The answer can't always be that anyone from a marginalized community is automatically right, trump card, mic drop, end of discussion. Because we're literally experimenting on children."
