Jennifer, who asked to be identified by her first name only, talks about discovering the efforts by her daughter’s public school teacher and the psychologist to which her daughter was referred by the school to encourage her child to embrace a transgender male identification.

As a girl, I was taught to respect the privacy of my body, and to speak up if I felt unsafe or if something made me feel uncomfortable. Now I'm 14 and shocked to learn not all adults take you seriously when you say you don't feel safe or comfortable. In fact, they may even punish you for speaking out. That's what happened to me when I said I didn't think a teenage male should be allowed in the girls' locker room where my teammates and I undress and change. I'm a private person when it comes to my body, even in the safety and comfort of home. But at school, apparently there's no problem with a male student freely watching us girls change our clothes.

My issue with this is that they're allowing these things to happen to children. Children who can't drive. Children who are not old enough to buy alcohol because their brains aren't mature enough to do that. Children who aren't mature enough to buy nicotine, according to the law... They can't get a tattoo without parental consent because that's a permanent thing on your body. Mentally you don't understand that it's going to be forever... They can't make these decisions, they're children!

If a legal adult could be fooled by doctors and pulled into this madness, imagine what an innocent child who is taught this nonsense at school, by her friends, on tv, on TikTok is going to do.

Yes, the mental health of elites does effect us, especially that we live in nothing like a meritocracy like we were.

So things stood — largely without controversy — for about 50 years, until identity politics and the culture war expanded the categories entitled to “civil rights” protection. Anti-discrimination statutes, at both the state and federal levels, were supplemented to include additional “protected characteristics,” often adding sexual orientation, gender identity, and transgender status. Such “civil rights” laws, of which Colorado’s is an example, became a potent weapon in the hands of litigious LGBTQ advocates, who equate opposition to same-sex marriage (a right “recognized” by the Court in the 2015 Obergefell decision) with race discrimination.

Because state and federal civil rights laws do not contain an explicit exception (or defense) for religious objectors, business owners wishing to refrain from endorsing same-sex unions (by making cakes, creating websites, etc.) must defend themselves under the rubric of the First Amendment, claiming either compelled speech or a violation of their religious beliefs — a protracted, expensive, and uncertain undertaking fraught with the risk of catastrophic legal liability. ...

Identifying as LGBTQ is not equivalent to race, and opposition to same-sex marriage is not the same as racial bigotry. Millennia of Judeo-Christian tradition support sincere, good-faith opposition to the recent innovation of gay marriage. The current culture war has much more nuance to it than whether lunch counters should be integrated. It is a mistake to include sexual orientation in the blunt instrument of anti-discrimination laws applicable to private businesses, which can have the disastrous effect of eliminating their freedom of association.

Some may urge that conservatives join the parade of victim groups seeking civil rights protection. But the real solution is less — rather than more — coverage for such intrusive and easily abused laws.

Meanwhile, because political ideology, partisan affiliation, and Christian morality are not considered to be “protected characteristics” under existing civil rights laws, woke businesses are free to boycott, cancel, and evict conservative customers at will, subject only to the penalty of public opinion and the marketplace.

Beck said he’s speaking out about transgenderism to protect children in the current political climate.

He warns that there are gender clinics, performing irreversible and life-altering sex-change surgeries on children “over all of America.”

“There are thousands of gender clinics being put up over all of America,” he said.

“As soon as [kids] go in and say, ‘I’m a tomboy’ or ‘This makes me feel comfortable,’ and then a psychologist says, ‘Oh, you’re transgender.’

“And then the next day, you’re on hormones – the same hormones they are using for medical castration for pedophiles.

“Now, they are giving this to healthy 13-year-olds.”

“Does this seem right?” he asked.

“This is why I am trying to tell America to wake up.”

Beck said that when he began transitioning, it took just an hour-long meeting at Veterans Affairs to be offered hormones.

“I walked into a psychologist’s office, [and] in one day I have a letter in my hand saying I was transgender,” Beck said. ...

“This is a billion-dollar industry between psychologists, between surgeries, between hormones, between chemicals, between follow-up treatments,” he continued.

“There are thousands of gender clinics popping up all over our country.

“And each of those gender clinics is going to be pulling in probably over $50 million.”
