Look, I don't want to get my info from explicitly right-leaning publications but apparently if you want to know anything about that guy who mass murdered people at a parade last week, that's where you have to go.

The NYT stopped reporting on this story 5 days ago. Their last piece was an article that treated him as a hiccup in the efforts toward bail reform.

The Washington Post reported on this story for 2 days before they abandoned it.

That's, um...really weird, isn't it?
It's true, though: the two papers of record in the United States have more or less ignored this story, opting instead for sparse reportage on secondary aspects of the tragedy itself.

This is a great example of intentional tactical actions by USG in collusion with private entities to restrict the Overton window regarding the discussion of the "lab leak" (ergo, gain of function engineering of this pathogen) by USG (DTRA, NIH) cooperating with the Wuhan lab.

Regarding the "Overton Window": Pharma, BigTech, legacy media and the government have succeeded in intentionally collapsing what is "allowable" political discourse. Freedom benefits from those who speak "radical" truths which help push it back open.

This is a deep strategic and tactical truth that broadcasters like Steve Bannon and Glen Beck understand. They are intentional media warriors that stand at the edge of allowable discourse and continually work to push the window open. This is their role in this passion play.

For the last two years the self-appointed guardians of liberty - the watchdogs at the Times and the rest of the elite media - have gleefully joined what can only be described as government propaganda campaign without parallel in peacetime, if not ever.

They spent 2020 lying about the risks of the coronavirus and the effectiveness of masks and lockdowns and other efforts to eliminate. They spent 2021 at first ignoring and then actively lying about the risks and ineffectiveness of the Covid vaccines. Some of the 2020 lies have now ended - especially about school closings, more recently about masks - but the 2021 lies are only getting worse as the data around vaccines goes south on what seems like a daily basis.

In the most crucial test of their willingness to ask hard questions since at least the Vietnam War, the world’s elite media outlets have failed absolutely. And they can no longer hide that failure.

Since the argument is typically lodged by left-leaning pundits and columnists, it creates the false impression that it is the American right that lives in a silo, unencumbered by the opinions of the left or the reporting of the New York Times.


Of course, if you think about it for two seconds, you'll realize the opposite is true.

While Fox News is huge and powerful and there is a whole universe of talk radio hosts and news media outlets, which espouse conservative and libertarian views, the truth is that America's media is dominated by left of center views.

And those who work in the mainstream media ignore everything that challenges their perceptions.

It's one reason so many people expressed shock at the victory of Donald Trump in 2016, or more recently, at the outcome of the Kyle Rittenhouse case in Wisconsin.

They just never paid attention to the other side of what their cohort of friends, media outlets, and lefty celebrities were saying -- so they were taken by surprise.

While left-wing political dominance is a problem across the media, nowhere is it more pronounced than in Hollywood.

While there are actors and creators with right-of-center views, they have to hide their beliefs or risk the end of their careers.

Even the slightest wavering from the marching orders of the woke left is likely to result in a huge penalty.
