Peter Daszak, who bears the most responsibility for the 2019 Corona Pandemic, claims that any suggestion of a lab leak is "conspiracy theory." But there was no conscious conspiracy between any of the actors involved in this debacle. It was an accidental escape of a man-made virus that had been gentically engineered to mimick what was believed to be the next spillover virus either directly from bats to humans or through a intermediate species that would cause a SARS-like infection. The idea was to develop a vaccine before the disease emerged - but the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

The actors: Dr. Peter Daszak. For 20 years, beneath the radar, he had been playing with millions of people's lives. In Wuhan, China and Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Daszak, Shi Zheng Li (the "Bat Lady") and Dr. Ralph Baric routinely created viruses more dangerous than those that exist in nature. Dr. Baric had developed, and taught Dr. Shi, a general method for engineering bat coronaviruses to attack other species. ...

Dr. Anthony Fauci must also pay a price for approving the grants Daszak passed on the the WIV.

However, an accidental leak is still viewed as unlikely as it unacceptable to the medical science community - because of its far reaching implications. ...

In 1968, Dr. Anthony Fauci came to NIH as a clinical associate in the NIAID Laboratory of Clinical Investigation. In 1980, he was appointed chief of the Laboratory of Immunoregulation, a position he still holds. Dr. Fauci became director of NIAID in 1984 a position he still holds earning him the nickname J. Edgar Fauci for his long tenures. ...

One indication that this virus was made more deadly and communicable by the Chinese scientists encouraged by Daszak and Fauci is that is doesn't act like any other virus did. It is far more deadly and causes many other symptons other than respiratory disease. ...

NIH confirmed in a statement that EcoHealth’s grant was terminated and acknowledged that the Wuhan Institute of Virology was a “sub-awardee.” [In other words Daszak "laundered" the grant for Fauci].

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Video taken just days before the start of the coronavirus pandemic shows a current World Health Organization (WHO) inspector discuss the testing of modified coronaviruses on human cells and humanized mice in the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), just weeks before the first cases of COVID-19 were announced in the city of Wuhan itself.

In a video that was originally taken on Dec. 9, 2019, three weeks before the Wuhan Municipal Health Commission announced an outbreak of a new form of pneumonia, virologist Vincent Racaniello interviewed British zoologist and president of EcoHealth Alliance Peter Daszak about his work at the nonprofit to protect the world from the emergence of new diseases and predict pandemics. Since 2014, Daszak's organization has received millions of dollars of funding from the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), which it has funneled to the WIV to carry out research on bat coronaviruses.

In the first phase of research, which took place from 2014 to 2019, Daszak coordinated with Shi Zhengli, (石正麗), also known as "Bat Woman," at the WIV on investigating and cataloging bat coronaviruses across China. EcoHealth Alliance received US$3.7 million in funding from the NIH for this research and 10 percent was channeled to the WIV, reported NPR.

The second, more dangerous phase, which started in 2019, involved gain-of-function (GoF) research on coronaviruses and chimeras in humanized mice from the lab of Ralph S. Baric of the University of North Carolina. Funding for the program was withdrawn by the NIH under the Trump administration on April 27 amid the pandemic.

26 out of the 27 Lancet scientists who trashed theory that Covid leaked from a Chinese lab have links to Wuhan researchers
The Lancet letter published in March 2020 called claims that Covid-19 originated in lab 'conspiracy theories'
It was signed by 27 scientists from across the globe working in virology and other medical science fields
The widely-read letter effectively ended all debate about origins of the global coronavirus pandemic
Investigation by The Telegraph has found 26 out of 27 had connections to China's Wuhan Institute of Virology

It was earth all along.

And by earth, I mean Petey Daszak and the Bat Lady.

Assuming these documents are real (and no one has disputed their authenticity), they are unthinkably bad. Forget the Congressional subpoenas. This warrants an immediate criminal investigation run out of Main Justice or the SDNY.

EcoHealth Alliance and the Extended Viral Phenotype
SARS rearranged large parts of our scientific establishment for its own advantage. ...

If you think this is taking things too far, consider the grant proposal that the notorious EcoHealth Alliance, headed by Peter Daszak, submitted to DARPA in 2018. These are the American NGO collaborators with the Wuhan Institute of Virology, and the proposal provides a direct window onto the program of research that gave us second-edition new-and-improved SARS. The proposed “research” involves activities so obviously reckless that they border on evil: Relentless bat sampling in Yunnan caves thought to be the approximate origin of SARS, creating chimeric SARS-related coronaviruses optimised to infect humans, introducing these optimised viruses to humanised mice so they might actually infect cells, spraying aerosolised spike proteins or virus vectors into caves to “boost” bat immunity – these and more are what the scientists associated with EcoHealth Alliance proposed to do. It is at base a bizarre scientised worship of SARS and its replication, and beyond that an effort of the lingering extended phenotype of SARS-1 to resurrect itself in some form and return to human hosts. It succeeded. ...

They are insane spike protein fetishists. “We will develop recombinant chimeric spike-proteins from known SARSr-CoVs … Using details of SARS S protein structure and host cell binding we will sequence, reconstruct, and characterize spike trimers and receptor binding domains of SARSr-CoVs, [and] incorporate them into nanoporticles or raccoon poxvirus-vectors for delivery to bats.” ...

They planned to analyse SARS-related coronavirus gene sequences, on the lookout for “potential furin cleavage sites” – one way to optimise them for infecting humans. SARS-CoV-2, as everybody knows, has a highly suspicious furin cleavage site. In viruses lacking such sites, they propose to “introduce human-specific cleavage sites and evaluate growth potential in Vero cells and HAE cultures.”

Nanoparticles? This does not sound good.

The investigation also found:

NIH was funding gain-of-function research, meaning scientists were making the viruses more transmissible and virulent (i.e. deadly)
Fauci testified before Congress that the NIH had not funded gain-of-function studies
Daszak denied that his collaborators at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) conducted studies on bats, but in his DARPA proposal he promised the WIV would experiment on bats
Daszak has orchestrated a campaign to label any charge of a lab leak at the WIV a “conspiracy theory”

peter daszak: supervillain origin story
taking a look at one of the more important and lesser studied players in the covid drama and his outright terrifying areas of research interest

el gato malo

there are a million stories in the naked city, but perhaps the story that really ought to be keeping you up at night is the story of the (increasingly ironically named) ecohealth alliance (EHA) and its founder, peter daszak.

it’s a story of nefarious plans, shady dealings, and stunning lapses in judgement and it’s a story that is FAR from over and looks to be, rather than leading to culpability and future restraint, heading for another chapter of more of the same.

to investigate bat crimes takes a bat detective so buckle up and let’s go for a ride, because this reads like a story straight out of DC comics…

geez you guys, these adventures to find scary viruses wreck the world and then they get triple funding afterwards to do the same thing again?

what do they think they are, mortgage subsidy programs?

Wait, @USAID just announced a new $125 million program to dig up "8,000 to 12,000 novel viruses" all over the world, including those like SARS-CoV-2, including in China? WTAF.
