We might have to eat bugs at some point of over population but not now. This to me is just another reason for population control outside of West.

In Mexico they eat grasshoppers which are seasoned and cooked, Chapulines.
I've had them, not bad, they tasted like the seasoning, not much to them.
I definitely am not going to eat a 1/2 pound of them if I'm starving.

Maybe I'd try it, I've eaten rattle snake seems like eating a snake would be more satanic than a bug. To me eating a bug is out of desperation or an oddity.

Another thing we eat tons of bugs all the time by accident. Most processed or premade foods have guidelines on how many bug parts can be in them because it's unavoidable.

Technically, locusts are kosher, the only kosher insect. I could see the motive to eat them after they've eaten everything else.

It's not santanic, it's cultural. In Asia and South America, eating bugs is a very common practice going back for centuries. But they live in different ecological systems than we do. As long as it's local, and organic, and has nutritional value, whatever tickles your fancy.
