This is pretty much the essence of addiction, just like alcoholism.

As long as it's never their fault, it doesn't end. The acceptance of personal guilt and apologizing to all those they have harmed by their very, very bad choices is the beginning of recovery. Addicts have done something wrong and need to face up to that to change anything.

A few of the 12 Steps in AA:

5. Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.

6. Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.

7. Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.

8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.

9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.

10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.

I'm pretty sure that gays are in the exact same boat. They have done something horribly wrong and need to take responsibility for their moral failing and apologize for the harm it has caused others, not to mention themselves.

Exactly. One of my sisters is a nurse and social worker. She was the one who introduced me to the term "self-medicating", meaning people who are using drugs or alcohol as treatment for mental illness.

Also interesting: schizophrenics smoke a lot, and it actually does help reduce their symptoms temporarily.

I used to wonder how anyone's family can kick them out, but after hearing that addicts often start selling off their family's personal possessions to get money for drugs, I kinda understand. Add to that the threat of being stabbed or worse if their relative is schizo.

Women have childbearing work to do which is built into their nature. If this work is neglected, then a whole society dies, which is also a massive harm.

It's not true that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, but what doesn't kill a society does make it stronger. Society is a potentially immortal organism. Eventually something will kill off our society, but in the meantime, we grow more fierce. We're just going through a temporary, perhaps self-induced, sickness. Perhaps a temporarily stronger yet weaker society will kill us off, but not entirely. What remains will make a fiercer brute. It's been this way for a billion years.

When a society accepts and condones perversion, it begins a downward spiral, with each generation accepting what the previous generation rejected. Calling it 'marriage' was a purposeful subversive turning of the language originally intended to denote a union between male and female. It was a shot across the bow in the downgrading, subversion and perversion of the marriage concept itself, just as 'feminism' was an Intel agency caper to hang women from their own hysterical petard.

OK, I'm going to argue with this one.

Without doubt weed made me a better person. More compassionate, more thoughtful. It makes ME creative, but often in ways that are useless, but sometimes in ways that are very useful.

It doesn't demotivate me, quite the opposite.

I think I am an outlier though. I can't smoke up and go to sleep, when I smoke up, I have to study, learn. It doesn't appear to effect me in the same way as other people.

The problem is that parents don't have control over publik edukashun. Do you even know what the budget for your local publik skool is? Most parents don't care, and aren't involved. This is the result.

BUT, the social push I described was well beyond Dr. Money. The tactics were from a book published in the early 90s talking about decriminalizing sodomy, then pushing for 'partnership rights', then full marriage, then anti-bullying, then transrights, and eventually liberating all sexuality from government. It was about dropping the "Crazy People" tactics and having gays put themselves out as ordinary people and that "Love is Love". I'll have to find the name and author of the book, it's the Rules for Radicals for LGBTQ+

If they had stopped there without further histrionic politicization, there would have been very little problem. The problem started when they thought they should be in society's face instead of staying in their lane, and became part of the 'movement for a Soros paycheck' Kommie crap to destroy the American family along with feminism.

That meant they went from private citizens to social subversive funded combatants, taking the shit all the way to sponsoring and legalizing pedophilia, exploiting, seducing children and trying to convince them they were a sex they weren't through undue influence with surgical butchery and inappropriate hormones. That literally made them the monsters and deviant reputation that they claim they wanted to overcome. Not just monsters, but child butchers and rapists.

Anything about the traditional discriminations had been mooted by the late 90's. It was the lunatic fringe of the gays who resurrected it all.
