U.S. cities that virtue signaled by defunding their police departments are seeing record crime levels, forcing many city leaders to rethink their basic levels of intelligence.

Here's what has happened in a few cities that voted to slash police budgets:

Homicide grew by 44% in New York, which had 1,531 shootings and 462 murders in 2020.
Homicides also increased 36% in L.A. to 350, leading the police chief to say "a decade of progress" has been erased.
Minneapolis, the center of the "Defund the Police" movement, saw a 46% increase in murders.
Oakland, California has seen a staggering 314% increase in homicides.
Portland, Oregon has seen murders triple.
Austin, Texas has had a 26% increase in aggravated assault reports.
Chicago saw a 65% increase in homicides from June 2020 to February 2021, despite arrests dropping 53%.
Philadelphia hit a 30-year-high with homicides in 2020, with 499 people murdered.
Even smaller cities like Louisville, Kentucky had a record high of 173 murders and is on track to surpass that this year.
The New York Times reported that many such cities are now expanding their police budgets to try to deal with these outcomes that absolutely no one could have seen coming.

A George Soros-funded prosecutor has been carjacked at gunpoint in his own Democrat-controlled city of New Orleans.

According to the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD), the city’s Democrat District Attorney Jason Williams was robbed on Monday.

Williams was walking his 78-year-old mother to his car when two suspects approached the pair.

They pointed a gun at them and demanded the prosecutor’s car, according to WVUE.

The suspects then jumped into the car and drove off. ...

The DA was elected in 2020 after Soros donated $220,000 to sway the election in his favor, according to the Capital Research Center.

Soros pumped cash into the Louisiana Justice and Public Safety PAC to run campaigns against Williams’ opponent.

Williams campaigned on a platform of “woke” social justice reform, promising to find “alternatives to incarceration” for some criminals.

He also pledged to reform the “ineffective and unfair money bail system,” according to his campaign website.

Williams also attacked President Donald Trump during his campaign in 2020. ...

Williams declined to prosecute 65% of all criminal cases in New Orleans in 2021.

However, he slowly began to prosecute more cases as crime in the city rose, according to data from the New Orleans government’s office.

The DA still continues to prosecute, on average, only 44% of the criminals who have been charged by police.

In 2022, New Orleans was named the “murder capital of the United States.”

Violent crime was the leading cause of death for children in the city that same year.

Reality strikes! National Review ran a very encouraging story yesterday headlined, “D.C. Mayor Introduces ‘Commonsense’ Legislation to Tackle Rising Crime.” Get this: they are re-funding the police.

Yesterday, Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser introduced new proposals to roll back progressive police reforms that Bowser said make it more difficult for police to ensure public safety. “We have to reverse the policy environment in the city that, quite frankly, went haywire in the last three years,” Bowser explained.

Note the passive voice. The policy environment went haywire. Not anybody in particular.

It takes a real sociopath to cause that much damage just to steal some cash. Reminds me of an incident where an asshole used a chainsaw to cut a radio out of a dashboard so he could fence it for a few bucks.

One of the most ironic headlines of 2023 had to be this week’s Epoch Times headline:

The agent is fine. But the FBI apparently can’t find the two armed carjackers by itself, so it has offered a $10,000 reward to any citizen who can identify the two thugs who jacked one of its own agents. The agent was probably too distracted by his grief over the January 6th attack on the Capitol to fight back.

Its hard to fathom how people that vote liberal leave liberal areas such as California for greener pastures in red areas, but are incapable of figuring out that their liberal voting turned the place they just escaped from into a hell hole and continue to vote the same liberal way. Then when the new location, such as Portland or Austin (that used to be red areas many moons ago) turns into a similar lib shit hole they cant put two and two together and get a logical number.

Oakland becomes even MORE of a Mad Max hellscape as robbers CHASE driver in multiple cars, ram him and then steal his belongings when vehicle flipped and crashed

Surprise, surprise, this incompetent diversity hire (but I repeat myself) was funded by global criminal Soros:

Been saying this forever. Get the fuck out of blue cities and if you can states. My area locally is red, but I'm unfortunate in a Blue state and make too good of money to leave. Almost any profession can make as much or more in a red state. Just don't bring bull shit with you.

One dude once said that there are no red or blue states. Just blue urban areas with concentrated population areas with otherwise red rural areas in the state. There are exceptions like really tiny states (Rhode Island, Delaware maybe even Massachusetts & Connecticut).

Unfortunately the dumbasses in the blue cities outvote the red rurals.
.
Boise is not very popular with the rest of Idaho because of this.

So the true hell is being someone who lives in a red part of a bluetard dominated state. Eastern Oregon & Washington, Northern California. Much of New Mexico and now Arizona and Colorado. Texas is going purple too.

So when the next Civil War does happen, the cities will be sieged or otherwise cut off from their food, water and energy supplies. Game over. It won't be a war with tanks and fighter jets. Libtards don't get that.

The controlled demolition of New York continues. Believe it or not, but adding to their many concerns, New Yorkers are now dealing with moped-riding gangs of phone snatchers. It sounds funny but it’s much crazier than it sounds; the mopeds race the phones directly to hacker hideouts, where the stolen phones are electronically hijacked and people’s bank accounts are being looted.

I will bet you a thousand bucks the mopeds are unlicensed and untraceable, just as untraceable as the undocumented, ganged-up riders. Oh, and they are also killing cops now:

Cop assassinations are a deliberate strategy. Once the gangs intimidate the local cops, they can run the city.

I expect to see a strong response in Miami. I’m not too sure about New York.

I'm always perplexed that people think they VOTED this way. No way to validate the vote, we've seen voter fraud before, and we'll see it again, it remains unpunished, and it's not treated seriously.

Yet you're absolutely convinced people voted for this shit.

Go to San Francisco, ask anybody there i if they voted for Nancy Pelosi and if they did, ask them who was running against her. I would bet $1000 they can't name any challenger, if one was even offered.

First I won't go to San Fran again in my life. Even the airport.

I literally meet at least with local reps. Federal and state. I would have been able to meet with Pelosi's opponent. Do these things. Ain't nothing gonna happen bitching on the internet.

This is where you frustrate me Rich. I love Patnet and the dialogue is fun and sometimes nasty, oh well. But if you're not PHYSICALLY doing anything it's a waste. Go to events. Set up a meeting with your leadership statewide or nationally. Go to events you know they're going to be at. I've got one March 2nd where I can talk to 100's of prominent people and government officials and have some beers. They'll be drinking too so all the easier. 10 discussions could change 1 person and that one prominent person can change 100 or 1,000.

I give no fucks about what I say. Pisses the wife off, but sometimes people are like, shit, this guy was right. I'm independent/libertarian. I can convince almost any left person or right person to reach a middle ground. You're a fatalist. Everything and everyone is fucked... yet you don't do shit about it. Unless you lost it, maybe use the thumb instead of bitching and finger pointing.

Following the shining example of Oakland, CA; Pittsburgh has decided to not have officers respond to certain calls like theft, robbery, stuff like that. What could go wrong???

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/pittsburgh-police-won-t-send-officers-to-certain-emergency-calls-will-redirect-to-telephone-unit/ar-BB1iYHUC?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=9655458134fb45cd832ca73b51f7e41e&ei=36

It just saves the step of the DA just letting go.

Not to be outdone Houston police have simply blown off 264000 investigations over the last 8 years with 164000 of those being cases against people like robbery and assault. Thousands of adult sex crimes - well who cares ???
