I have found all but a couple of real estate attorneys to be slothful and unprepared, and not particularly bright. Very entitled in attitude ,though. I remember at two separate closings where I had to correct many mistakes on the contracts, with the law firm bringing in more senior lawyers to deal with the fixes. I learned early on how lawyers are poor performers when I sold one of my first houses. A lawyer's mistake made it look like I was married to my Dad, and I had to prove otherwise before I could get the check. The only involvement my Dad had was I was using his address for correspondence, since I in the Air Force and constantly transferring.
