The FBI is receiving criticism for a tweet it posted on July 11 that suggests Americans should monitor “family members and peers” for signs of “mobilization to violence” and report “suspicious behaviors” in an effort to prevent extremist activities.

“Family members and peers are often best positioned to witness signs of mobilization to violence. Help prevent homegrown violent extremism. Visit https://go.usa.gov/x6mjf to learn how to spot suspicious behaviors and report them to the #FBI,” the tweet read. It also included two photos of an individual highlighted in red accessing a computer. ...

Richard Grenell, a former acting director of national intelligence, wrote that the FBI’s tweet “is outrageous” because the agency “has a growing credibility problem and this type of sinister snitching is clearly unhelpful.” Several Republican lawmakers also criticized the tweet, saying the FBI is encouraging Americans’ family members to spy on one another.

“In both Cuba & China, they also ask children to spy on their parents,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) wrote.

Rep. Dan Bishop (R-Texas) wrote: “These people protected Hillary, abused NSA surveillance databases against Americans, used known, unreliable DNC-funded propaganda to spy on Trump, perpetuated the Russia hoax, & lied to the FISC repeatedly. And now they tell you that you should spy on your family.”

It’s not clear if the FBI posted the tweet in reference to the Biden administration’s campaign against “domestic violent extremists” or the longstanding intelligence operations against Islamist terror groups. Officials at the agency didn’t respond to a request by The Epoch Times for comment by press time.

The FBI is the biggest criminal organization in the US.

They are deliberately persecuting Americans based on political views alone.

We've had tyranny for decades. I remember when people who wore shirts criticizing George W. Bush, were arrested. I probably have the video around somewhere if you want to see it. Bush's audiences were screened and pre-selected, nobody with a differing opinion was allowed to attend.

Patriot Act was signed into law by Bush, and NOBODY that signed that read it, it's 300 pages and was signed into law in less than 2 hours after it had been introduced.

But because it was "a Republican" that did all this nasty fucking shit 15-20 years ago, the "conservatives" were silent.

Dumb party loyalists is why we're here now.

Tell me, if Trump ran as a Democrat, did the same exact thing, got the same flack from the Republican party as he did from the DNC for 4 years - would you have been happy with him? I would have been. And BTW - Trump was a democrat until 2000. He just started switching parties after that. He's a CLASSIC NYC democrat in what he pushes. He's a populist, he appeals to the working class, he's pro business, and he pushed to lower taxation on the lower classes. That's a 1960's democrat for you.

When GW Bush endorsed Hillary, you knew right then it was truly a uniparty in DC dedicated to fleecing the public.

Trump was the only one outside the uniparty, and probably Rand Paul too.

This I'd upvote a dozen times if it were possible.

Did you know that Colin Powell, the man that lied in front of the UN with a vial of probably his own cum implying it was some nerve agent, endorsed Joe Biden? An endorsement from Satan.

Pavlik Morozov

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pavlik_Morozov

In 1932, at the age of 13, Morozov reported his father to the political police (GPU). Supposedly, Morozov's father, Trofim, the chairman of the Gerasimovka Village Soviet, had been "forging documents and selling them to the bandits and enemies of the Soviet State" (as the sentence read). Trofim Morozov was sentenced to ten years in a labour camp, where his sentence was changed to death, which was fulfilled.[1] However, Pavlik's family did not take kindly to his reporting his father and on 3 September of that year, his uncle, grandfather, grandmother, and a cousin murdered him, along with his younger brother. All of them except the uncle were rounded up by the GPU and sentenced to "the highest measure of social defense" – execution by a firing squad.

FBI is learning from GPU/Cheka/KGB

You mean, "unindicted co-conspirators", aka FBI "informants" - the people whose job is to do entrapment and incitement to violence.

What if you are so inferior you don't have any peers to report?

Though it's a true metaphor, in terms of politicians (and now, just about everyone in the medical-industrial complex), I just don't like ppl making it look like an older guy, banging a younger woman, is something wrong.

I think when the original painting was made, it was assumed that young women preferred powerful older men.

That's still entirely true, but it's not longer politically acceptable to speak the truth now.

At this point, people are just over it. The globalists overplayed their hand. Both vaxxed and unvaxxed don't even care anymore as everyone has already made their decision.

My neighbor yesterday who had the shot hung out with me at our pool for a few hours, where as 6 months ago she avoided me like the plague as we didn't get the shot.

People aren't living in fear. People are just over it. Biden and Fauci have no more power as people don't take either seriously.

I doubt people en mass will be turning others in. I'm sure there will be a few the media will try to crucify, but everyone knows Trump won and that the government is evil now. Very few will actually turn others in.

In 1942's Casa Blanca, 27 year old Ingrid Bergman worked perfectly against 41 year old Humphrey Bogart, in 1959's North by Northwest, 33 year old Eva Marie Saint worked to perfection against 54 year old Cary Grant. The opposite would have seemed ridiculous, even same age contemporaries would have seemed out of place next to their female love interests.

For those wondering why it is that Comey is cashing fat royalty checks instead of stamping out license plates at Club Fed, the answer is part of my story. There is the Elect, of whom James Comey numbers himself, and there are the Serfs, among whose number, Dear Reader, you probably belong. ...

And just last month the Bureau (as its aficionados affectionately denominate that pustulant if well-armed enemy of liberty) went full Stasi.

Pro tip: never go full Stasi, not in the United States, not if you want people to take you seriously and (the bottom line) not if you want Congress to keep funding you. ...

On July 11, the agency emitted a Tweet that they must have picked up from East Germany circa 1960 or maybe from the pages of George Orwell: ‘Family members and peers are often best positioned to witness signs of mobilization to violence. Help prevent homegrown violent extremism. Visit blah, blah, blah to learn how to spot suspicious behaviors and report them to the #FBI. #NatSec.’

Love the hashtags. Underneath this little invitation to family harmony and collegiality was a three-panel drawing showing a featureless red, male figure (red, get it?) at an airport, in front of a computer, and out on a street gesturing and surrounded by three or four other male figures. The drawing communicates menace, unnamed but palpable, and the text communicates a ham-handed and possibly unconstitutional — certainly, un-American — intrusiveness into people’s private affairs.

That tweet went viral and was the occasion of much outrage but also much mirth. Here they were asking family members and coworkers to snitch on one another by sending tips to #FBI and #NatSec. It’s the mirth that the G-Men have to worry about as they strap on the shoulder holsters and prepare to mount a dawn raid on someone who voted for Donald Trump. ...

The FBI is similarly domesticated. Its number is increasingly part of the shapeless swamp that controls our lives. Its actions are, seen from afar, often ridiculous. But that does not mean they are not also malevolent. That’s an important point: that the ridiculous often easily cohabits with the vile. Hence the dawn raids, the summary incarcerations, the identification of people they disagree with as ‘domestic extremists’, ‘terrorists’, etc.

Which brings me back to that distinction between the Elites and the Serfs. The Elites have a virtual monopoly on the levers of power — in Joe Biden’s memorable phrase, they have the F-15s and the nuclear weapons. The Elites have yet to absorb the old protest slogan, ‘We are many, they are few’. Maybe they never will. But the Serfs will. What then?

The Department of Justice’s (DOJ) inspector general on Tuesday found that a former senior FBI official repeatedly violated the bureau’s policy by having unauthorized contact with the media.

The inspector general’s office, according to report, said the unnamed official had “received items of value from members of the media” and had “numerous unauthorized contacts with the media” between 2014 and 2016.

Describing the behavior as a violation of the FBI’s policy, the report said the FBI official had “unauthorized social engagements outside of FBI Headquarters involving drinks, lunches, and dinners.”

The official also accepted tickets from media members to two black-tie dinner events, including one valued at $300 and the other at $225. They also received transportation to the event from a reporter, who was not named, the report said. ...

In late December, Trump accused the DOJ, FBI, and legacy media of covering up an investigation into Hunter Biden’s tax problems because they wanted to protect then-candidate Joe Biden.
