I spent over a year there back in the early 90's - right after the fall of the Wall. The German girls would hate that term (I guess it translates as "a piece of pussy/ass") and remind me that the penalty for counterfeiting was greater than that for rape. I don't know if that was an invitation or not, but I did reassure one German girl that she was not a lesbian by bringing her to climax (German guys were Beta even then).

To this day, I don't understand German humor - it is so lame (at least the non-racist stuff, which is actually funny). The Monty Python skit "The Deadliest Joke in the World" sums up German humor perfectly.

Cadet 4th Class Avery Koonce, of Taylor, Texas, was unconscious in her dormitory room Wednesday night, the academy announced in a Facebook post the next day. “Academy first responders were called and attempted life-saving measures, which were unsuccessful,” the post said. Koonce, who was expected to graduate as a second lieutenant in 2028, was a member of the women’s track-and-field team.

Clemson University announced Saturday that former Clemson wide receiver Diondre Overton died at the age of 26.

A Clemson official confirmed the news to Grace Raynor of The Athletic, but no further details were provided.

The most commonly implicated COVID-19 vaccines were mRNA vaccines, with Pfizer-BioNTech accounting for 51.7% and Moderna for 42.7%. Adenovirus vector vaccines, including ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 (0.7%) and vAd26.COV2.S (4.2%), were the next most prevalent. Approximately 45.7% of patients developed lymphoma within 30 days of vaccine administration. Non-Hodgkin lymphoma constituted the majority of pathological types (71.3%). Status epilepticus as a complication of SARS-CoV-2 vaccination: Two case reports and systematic review with individual patients’ data analysis

Two novel super-refractory status epilepticus (SRSE) cases associated with the BNT162b2 mRNA COVID-19 vaccine were identified. Both patients received the second dose of the vaccine about 14 days prior to SE onset. Patients showed a non-convulsive semiology and were treated with a combined anesthetic and immunomodulant therapy, leading to SE resolution in both cases. The literature review identified seven additional cases, primarily non-convulsive SE. Four patients received the Spikevax (ex-COVID-19 Moderna mRNA -1273 vaccine), 2 patients the BNT162b2 (Pfizer/Biotech), and 1 patient the ChAdOx1-s (AstraZeneca) vaccine. The first vaccine dose (5/7, 71.4%) emerged as the most frequently associated with SE onset, which manifested at an average of 4.5 days (± 3.4) following vaccination. Five patients presented RSE and required continuous intravenous anesthetic drug administration.

18-Year-Old Florida High School Football Player Dies After Collapsing During Game



Chance Gainer, an 18-year-old senior at Port St. Joe High School and star player for the Tiger Sharks, tragically collapsed during a football game against the Bulldogs and later died.

Gainer, who had electrified the crowd with a 70-yard touchdown earlier in the game, was playing defense when he suddenly went down, Northwest Florida Daily News reported.

According to Tim Davis, Liberty County Athletic Director and Assistant Principal, the collapse came without warning as Gainer trailed a play developing on the opposite side of the field.

“He just went to the ground suddenly,” Davis recounted in an interview with Northwest Florida Daily News. Coaches immediately rushed to his aid, but the gravity of the situation quickly escalated.

EMS was called, and despite the heroic efforts of medics who managed to regain a pulse, Gainer was pronounced dead at a hospital in Blountstown, just an hour after the game.
