US population (2020) = 331,002,647

Total US COVID deaths( 2020): 375,000

Covid deaths per total population = 0.001133

Odds of not dying from COVID = 99.99%

Assumes accurate counting.

Note: Very few vacintaed in the US in 2020. First vaccine became available in Dec 2020.

You forgot to multiply by 100 to get the percentage. 375000 / 331002647 * 100 = 0.1133%

99.89%

Where did you get the 375,000 number? I thought it was around the 650k mark.

And the largest spike in "Covid deaths" not to mention the spike in "rare disease" happened after the vaxxing started.

I fear that soon the vaxxed kids will start dying and will be blamed on a new variant.

Yes, 99.89% is the right calculation. The 375,000 is deaths in 2020, primarily in the absence of vaccine.

Rough calculation: 629,411 it the cumulative death toll since tracking began, and according to Hopkins, we are around 500 days since tracking began, and so 629,411-375,00 = 254,411 deaths to date in 2021. So with about 4 months to go, projecting it to around 380,000 for 2021. Approximately the same number of deaths as in 2020. If so, what did vaccines do?

Deaths were really high in January-March before most people got the vaccine. The test will be this fall / winter. If deaths are spiking again, it means the vaccine doesn’t work. People will freak out.

It was likely a combo of natural herd immunity and the initial efficacy against the initial strains of the experimental agents that made cases and deaths go down, now with delta/lambda the agents are mostly useless and dangerous.

Note that half of people who died were in nursing homes, where the median life expectancy is only three months anyway.

Any risk numbers you are presented with you can safely cut in half at least.

From the very nice NYC public health department database:

Over 75 year old deaths from COVID19:
with underlying illness: 12,012
without underlying illness: 7

Underlying conditions currently include diabetes, lung disease, cancer, immunodeficiency, heart disease, hypertension, asthma, kidney disease, gastrointestinal/liver disease, and obesity.

Cumulative totals since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak in NYC, which the Health Department defines as the diagnosis of the first confirmed COVID-19 case on February 29, 2020.

"Pending" deaths? Is that like the scene from Monty Python?

The Dead Collector:
'Ere, he says he's not dead.

Large Man with Dead Body:
Yes he is.

The Dead Body That Claims It Isn't:
I'm not.

The Dead Collector:
He isn't.

Large Man with Dead Body:
Well, he will be soon, he's very ill.

The Dead Body That Claims It Isn't:
I'm getting better.

Large Man with Dead Body:
No you're not, you'll be stone dead in a moment.

Chances of dying from something other than COVID and being labeled as a COVID death? 1000% (heard of a young man who tragically drowned while swimming, of course death Cert read COVID as cause of death)

That depends on how many of the 2021 dead died vaxed vs. nonvaxed, no?
11   Al_Sharpton_for_President   2021 Aug 24, 5:02pm

NYC cumulative COVID19 deaths, age 65-74, with underlying illness: 6,086
NYC cumulative COVID19 deaths, age 65-74, without underlying illness: 8

Those Covid for kids death numbers seem high.

Agreed, but it's still only 1 in 500,000 or 2 in one million. Let's see that would be 660 deaths if ALL of the United States were children.

So, even if the figures ARE correct, it's minimal.

US population under 18 is about about 1/5 of total population.

Chance of being struck by lightning is higher than the chance of a bad bout of the Coof if you are under 18.

Damn, I may have to rethink the whole media narrative about covid...when I thought it was 99.9% i felt pretty safe but now that it has dropped to 99.89%, well that's a game changer.
