Always use cash from now on, not credit cards

Drove to a restaurant today with my wife and was first of all creeped out to find that they knew my name from my phone number, which I had to give to get on the wait list. They said they use a centralized database of many restaurants for that.

They have a window where you can order a beer while you are waiting. So I ordered a beer and they refused to take cash.

OK, I wanted the beer, so I paid with a credit card. Then the total had an extra $1.50 on it. I asked about that and was told that I added a tip. I specifically did not add a tip because I was pissed that they don't take cash.

I got the manager and made him remove the tip.

We are rapidly approaching the CCP utopia of complete tracking of all citizens at all times.

Lesson: call ahead and make sure a restaurant will take cash. If they will not, don't go there.

Good sentiment, but two ironies:
1. The rich have more "ballots" and can out vote you.
2. The gov can take your "ballots" (taxes) and cast those votes how they like.

Both true.

I suspect that favored businesses don't care about boycotts because somehow unlimited newly printed money is directed their way.

Me too.

I also don't think the writer's strike is going to ever end. My expectation of the future is that we will have personalized AI "entertainers" within 30 years or perhaps only the rich will have access to any entertainment at all, and the poor will have none.
298   HeadSet   2023 Aug 12, 8:45am

Still curious how the druggies will pay for the CIA dope when cash is outlawed. Maybe a law will come out prohibiting the police from tacking illicit drug sales through digital currency.
299   Patrick   2023 Aug 12, 8:57am

Maybe the druggies will lead the way in getting the world back on physical silver coins.

Actually 1 is false. We shop at the stores, not them. They won't keep a store open when everyone leaves, as it just reminds us of their failure. And at the end of the day, it's a confidence game they are always on the verge of losing. Turn the faucets on in too obvious of a manner, the whole system collapses.

https://notthebee.com/article/taco-bell-stores-are-going-completely-cashless-along-with-other-food-chains

They hypnotized us with the Beefy Crunch Burrito and other drive-thru Mexican delicacies, and now they're guiding us into the new globalist nightmare through cashless restaurants.

During an earnings call earlier this month, parent company Yum! Brands, Inc. addressed plans to eventually move to 100% digital sales at its restaurants.

This includes fast food chains like Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and KFC.

If you're going to switch us off a cash-based society, this is the way to do it.

Resist. Boycott.

If digital transactions are your only reason for not eating at these industrial food producers, I'd ask you to reconsider your views on health.
304   Patrick   2023 Aug 24, 12:45pm

Lol, I don't eat at any of those anyway, just encouraging others with another reason to stay away.

Just four weeks ago, I reported how a prediction by Australian “conspiracy theorists,” falsely debunked by the press, became reality in just three months.

That story was about certain Australians who predicted that the government would move their country to become a “cashless society.” Those people were soundly debunked and called crazy right-wing conspiracy theorists by the Australian press. Then, three months later, the Australian government decided to move towards a cashless society, indeed.

At the time, I thought that three months from a conspiracy theory being debunked to the same theory coming true was fast.

Boy, was I wrong! Australia just outdid itself.

According to an excerpt from the book, during an interview Musk asked biographer Isaacson, "How am I in this war?" He explained, "Starlink was not meant to be involved in wars. It was so people can watch Netflix and chill and get online for school and do good peaceful things, not drone strikes."

Well. I suspect Starlink also has a little something to do with a replacement digital currency, which can only possibly work as a cash replacement if there is 100% reliable connectivity everywhere all at once. But that’s a subject for a different post.
309   NuttBoxer   2023 Sep 8, 1:24pm

Starlink is funded by DoD, so that's bullshit right out of the gate.

On the necessity of a worldwide system, I don't see it at all. If they're able to herd even 95% of the population into large cities(definitely the plan), why give a shit about the rest? They won't. At least not until they have achieved their vision for a slave world with the majority.
311   stereotomy   2023 Sep 11, 7:04pm

Fuck this bullshit. On every single fucking FR note on the lower left hand side on the front is:

THIS NOTE IS LEGAL TENDER FOR ALL DEBTS, PUBLIC AND PRIVATE.

You fucking woo-q-tards should just shut up about this.

The time to worry is when all currency is recalled and the new shit doesn't have that phrase - that's how it's all been done before.

I'm seeing plenty of mom & pop joints offering around 5% discount for CASH MONEY.

@Patrick - can we call out this woo bullshit?

They might get 95% of the survivors herded in cities “for their safety “ but the amount of dead prior to that will exceed the number of survivors by a significant margin. Their goal is not to simply control everything, but also to eliminate the majority of people.

I think this is true.

Billionaires have been talking for years now about the need to eliminate the majority of humanity to make more room for themselves save the planet.

I agree that the present currency can be used for all debts but that doesn't mean that a merchant has to let you incur a debt to begin with

I've been to about a dozen restaurants and cafes now which simply refuse to even let you place an order without a credit card. That seems like a serious step toward eliminating cash. I always leave and tell them why.

That must be a Californication thing. Here in flyover country (even though it's in the PRNY) I keep seeing more discounts for cash payment.

But yeah - they don't want cash - fuck them. You're probably too courteous in that you ask before you're served. I'd wait till the end to have that argument, then call 911 and show the cops the cash notes. It should be hilarious.

EDIT: Maybe that's where you guys should have the next PatNet meetup. Fuck the joint up with cash payment. Post a pic of you being frog marched for trying to pay cash at a globohomo WEF joint.

That's probably it. Anywhere other than Libtardia, they'll fuck you up if you try to ditch payment. Maybe if you promise to order more than $950 they'll seat you?
319   Patrick   2023 Sep 11, 7:59pm

I bet it's to stop just what @stereotomy describes, where someone orders and then demands to pay in cash after getting his food or coffee. They can't legally refuse that payment in cash. They can only stop you from ordering to begin with if you don't have a credit card.

New shit like plastic cards with your name and a barcode on it. But the barcode wasn't enough, so they added a tap chip, almost like they want you to get used to paying with barcodes and taps.. But having to take that card out, TOO MUCH TROUBLE! Just put it right in my hand mr banker!

https://slaynews.com/news/republicans-move-block-biden-rolling-out-digital-cash-across-america/

Republicans are moving to block Democrat President Joe Biden and his administration from rolling out a “digital dollar” to replace physical cash across America.

The Biden admin has been working on implementing a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).

The centralized digital currencies are designed to replace traditional cash but are engineered to have in-built control mechanisms.

The plan has been heavily pushed by unelected globalist organizations, including the World Economic Forum (WEF), the United Nations (UN), and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

A key part of the CBDC agenda is to create so-called “cashless societies” that would governments and bureaucratic agencies greater control over the general public.

As architects of the plan have gloated, CBDCs allow for individuals’ spending to be tracked, monitored, and controlled.

Those whose spending habits indicate that they have a large “carbon footprint,” for example, could be punished.

In a more extreme example, those found to engage in “hate speech,” i.e. “misgendering” someone on social media, could have their funds restricted, denying their ability to buy food in their “cashless society.”

As one WEF speaker recently boasted, CBDCs could be used to control what people can buy by placing blocks on “less desirable items” such as “ammunition” and guns.

Led by House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN), the Central Bank Digital Currency Anti-Surveillance State Act has resurfaced.

The bill seeks to stop the Federal Reserve’s exploration of a digital version of the dollar.

As Slay News reported, in March, Biden ordered Fed Chair Jerome Powell to advance plans for a CBDC, a move that could significantly influence monetary policies.

I went to a random place to get a coffee. I ordered first then they told me they didn't accept cash. I told them "well, I only have cash - you should cancel my order", I still got my coffee, I offered to pay for it, even told them "I will never return to this place", still got the coffee.

The employees know this is bullshit.

And I've never returned, and never will.
324   Patrick   2023 Sep 21, 8:22pm

I think you should return and order, and just have cash on you. Over and over.

Please email me the name of that cafe. Maybe I'll do it.

Philz Coffee. That's the place.

I'm also annoyed by places that FORCE you to use a computer to order through a 3rd party and won't let you just call them up. There's a great Indo-Chinese place I used to get food from all the time, but they started doing this, now I only get food from them rarely. They accept cash (even give a discount for it), but I can't order with cash.
326   Patrick   2023 Sep 21, 8:35pm

@richwicks I literally cannot open that link without doing a ton of work, because I have multiple layers of blocking of all Google domains on my computers.

Could you just email me the name? Sorry for the trouble.

I agree about not patronizing places that won't answer the phone.

You can open it with TOR with Brave. The TOR connection bypasses everything on your computer, including DNS. I assume you have /etc/hosts (or the equivalent under APPLE - ugh) setup. I have Facebook and Twitter blocked on my machine, on the RARE occasion I want to see anything on those sites, I use TOR and I have several virtual machines as well which don't access my /etc/hosts file.
328   Patrick   2023 Sep 21, 8:44pm

I tried with Brave's TOR gateway, but it hanged for about a minute, so I gave up.

I block all Google domains with /etc/hosts and Little Snitch, and some other firewall thing I set up so long ago I can't remember how it works.
