Hard to belive its been 20 years. Seems a lifetime ago (which it was) but on days like today, feel as if they were just yesterday.
This morning I've reflected on where I was, how I felt, and all that has transpired since.
I think we all knew that our lives would be irrevocably changed on that day, even if in the moment we couldn't see how. With hindsight, we can reflect on the good and bad that has resulted in the years and decades since.
It put the sparkle back in the Left's eyes. 60s neocolonialism bullshit resurrected and combined with Social Justice.
Nothing about securing the USA itself was done. Overstays kept stayin', Saudis' "visa express" was only suspended for a few months then turned right back on, etc.
The only thing done was massive inconvenience on Flights. Yet extra/auto checks based on Nationality/Ethnicity were prohibited.
