Actually, Christmas has been winning the war. First it took out Thanksgiving. Then had a stealth attack on Veteran's Day. Moved past Halloween, and then moved up on Labor Day.
Now we are seeing Christmas decorations starting in August at the Walmarts near us. If somebody doesn't repel the attack of Christmas soon it will stretch to the 4th of July.
