Smug anti-gun liberal kills a woman with a gun. Imagine that!

When a smug anti gun nut makes his living playing with fake guns that actually kill people...

Now Baldwin will allege a Trump conspiracy to get him to accidentally shoot the victim. Blame it on Trump!
"So the husband of the woman who Alec Baldwin shot is a lawyer

Who’s firm just happens to represent the Clintons

Nothing to see here"

62   Ceffer   2021 Oct 23, 12:09am

Now into the Woo! "Summary: Alec Baldwin is a murderer who was performing a live ritual.
These people are sick." So, was Baldwin performing a human sacrifice under the aegis of Satanism? Disguised it as an accident?
63   Ceffer   2021 Oct 23, 12:18am

LOL! Absolutely predictable. They will blame Trump for Baldwin's murder/manslaughter.
71   HeadSet   2021 Oct 23, 7:20am

I got a new theory - how about Baldwin does the concealed carry bit, and he mixed up the prop gun with his own gun?
72   DhammaStep   2021 Oct 23, 7:28am

I anticipate this being the beginning stages of a new front on gun control. Perhaps we will begin to see Hollywood say "all depictions of guns are bad!" A cascade effect being the banning of all fake/prop guns and moving to the real stuff. They know they have to approach gun control with new angles, because school shootings weren't enough.

I doubt he carries a SAA Colt concealed. :)

Maybe he was thinking about robbing a stagecoach after work?

SAA Colt? That would explain why he fanned it while shooting.

Halyna Hutchins' husband thanks Baldwin "For the cheap divorce, the great life insurance proceedings, and the massive impending lawsuit and settlement against the studio. It's a great comfort in these times of grief. And, no, Alec, you don't get a cut. Who do you think you are, the Big Guy?"
77   Ceffer   2021 Oct 23, 10:28am

"Baldwin promises husband of slain woman an endless stream of sleazy, promiscuous starlets as reparations."

I think guns capable of firing a bullet, blanks or otherwise should be outlawed from being used in the production of a film.

They keep calling a real gun a prop gun. A prop can not function as the object that is supposed to represent. Otherwise it's not a prop.

It would be very easy to make something that looks like a gun on the outside, but has an unbalanced weight that quickly rotates one revolution to give the effect that the gun percussed and kicked back, while a wisp of smoke comes out the barrel. The powder cap should be facing in toward the barrel, where the pressure would then send the smoke back out the barrel, but any wading or solid matter that may be projected out the barrel, would just be sent to the back of the gun barrel, while the smoke and gases would then be forced out the front. Such a contraption would be impossible to accidentally kill someone. You could even put real bullets in it, since there's no firing pin mechanism, they wouldn't discharge.

My maternal grandmother was a film editor in Chicago back when they used to make movies there, before Hollywood took all of that business. Not the editor with decision-making ability, just the kind that literally cuts the film where told to.

She told me some interesting things, like that the muzzle flash from a prop gun was forbidden to be shown in theaters, so she had to edit that out. Not sure why exactly.

What is all the hubbub about another simple Covid death?
81   RWSGFY   2021 Oct 23, 12:37pm

Apparently these bimbos do have rules wrt handling of prop guns on a set: https://www.actorsequity.org/resources/Producers/safe-and-sanitary/safety-tips-for-use-of-firearms/

Alec fucking Baldwin violated every single one of them.

We don’t need more common sense gun control, not even on movie sets. What we need is to hold those accountable who recklessly endanger and injure or kill others with any kind of dangerous tool. The set managers and staff were not practicing safety. It is a tragic accident but could have easily been avoided without legislation if the movie staff were trained and following protocols.

No new gun legislation unless it is a full repeal of all legislation infringing on 2A.

Might give criminals the idea to install an evil flash hider muzzle device.

Halyna Hutchins probably had information that would lead to the arrest of Hillary Clinton.

Not even kidding this time.
86   Booger   2021 Oct 23, 4:37pm

Why would there be any live ammo on a movie set?

Stupidity and (possibly) nepotism:

The BBC has obtained a document showing which crew members were listed as scheduled to be on set that day.
It names a head armourer, the crew member responsible for checking firearms. Hannah Gutierrez Reed is in her twenties and had recently worked in this role for the first time, on the movie The Old Way.
In a podcast in September she said she almost turned down that job "'cause I wasn't sure if I was ready... but doing it, like, it went really smoothly".
88   Booger   2021 Oct 23, 6:16pm

Dude! Put that mask on! People are literally dropping dead around you!
89   BayArea   2021 Oct 23, 7:35pm

Gun hating liberals should not be playing Billy Badass and waving guns around on set.

Respect guns and take them seriously or GTFO

Not even kidding this time.

In December, Hunter Biden hired former federal prosecutor Chris Clark, a partner at the firm Latham & Watkins. The president's younger son is said to be under investigation for possible tax and money laundering activities, with a potential counterintelligence component.

I think real guns should be outlawed from being used in the production of a movie. For mostly because of the nature of making a movie, it's too easy to number one have a mishap with a loaded weapon. It happens more often than you think. Then any malice intent of the person being shot, can logically be covered by saying "It was an accident".
It's a gun that is intentionally being pointed at someone and the trigger pulled. In the name of safety real guns should be prohibited from being filmed in that context. It's a conflict of the interest of truth. "It was an accident", "Yeah but you intentionally pretended to have a loaded gun, and point it at someone and pull the trigger, how can it be an accident?"

Can't remember if it was in this long thread or elsewhere on the internet, but someone pointed out that while guns are mass produced, replica guns purpose built to fire only prop blanks and never bullets are one off art pieces, and cost accordingly. Using a real gun with prop blanks was probably a budget decision, or maybe a consequence of him running the experienced union crew off the set earlier that day.
94   Tenpoundbass   2021 Oct 24, 2:08pm

Nothing worse than fucking up big, after showing your ass all day, acting like a raging asshole that Alec is.

It doesn't take that much experience or skill to fill a barrel up with molten aluminum and metal. Hell, you can just remove the firing pin if you want to be cheap.

There should be no USABLE weapon ever on a stage, ever.

These films cost millions of dollars to make, spending $1000 to make a weapon entirely safe can't be a consideration. The studio should be sued into bankruptcy.
