Reading reactions to Bari Weiss’s appearance on Bill Maher, I was struck by the incongruity of the audience’s behavior.

The hard-left audience cheered every attack on the CDC’s recommended guidelines regarding Covid. Second, they cheered Maher’s reality check of the non-efficacy of vaccines and his vow to never get a booster. Third, they applauded his “stating the obvious” report that almost everyone who died of Covid was obese. Finally, they liked his indictment of the CDC and Anthony Fauci for failing to inform Americans that Covid was a pandemic of the obese. “They have blood on their hands,” Maher said of the medical industry.

Yet, a few weeks ago, Maher’s audience was applauding draconian Covid crackdowns. What happened?

Nothing. The audience didn’t change its mind. In their hearts, they never were Branch Covidians. But they are trained, as we all are, to pretend we agree with the prevailing narrative at all times. We pretend we’re concerned about global warming. We pretend we’re concerned about AIDS. We pretend we’re concerned about system racism. We pretend we’re concerned about transphobia. Whatever the awareness ribbon of the day might be, we wear it. We keep our thoughts to ourselves and signal our agreement with the cause of the moment.

For the past two years, the awareness ribbon gave way to the Covid mask, the symbol that “we’re all in this together,” and the visual expression of “be safe.” Like the AIDS ribbon, the Covid mask did nothing to save even a single human life, but it protected the wearer from public scorn. The mask symbolized conformity with the prevailing psychosis, not “science.”

The tide is turning our way. There are cracks in the dam. Here is a partial list of people who can help accelerate the progress.

It is no longer acceptable for individuals or businesses to say they are just “following orders.” The orders are irrational and unscientific, and masks (and vaccine mandates) are much more about psychology and in-group membership than about epidemiology. For those caught up in the Covid fervor, it is a moral mission to discriminate against those not showing sufficient zeal to the Covid cause. They relish identifying the unclean enemy, demanding they display obeisance, and humiliating and rejecting those who refuse. On its surface it’s about epidemiology, but the real factors are human psychology and social group dynamics.

Pfizer, Moderna, etc., ARE our version of Phalanx. They have been rushed to market because there was a need. The need was SOMETHING to make people feel safe, to feel protected. They needed a pacifier, a security blanket, and big pharma was more than happy to provide something that has given fragile minds and failing hearts a soma, a placebo, a lullaby that they can sing to themselves to try to go to sleep at night.

The fact is, all these vaccines have done is delay the larger terror and sow a division into the fabric of humanity, the likes of which we’ve never seen. This fairy tale of a vaccine has indeed become much more of a nightmare, and more and more people are waking up out of that terror each day.

Right now, your friends and family believe in a modern day, actual version of Phalanx. I’ve literally heard people talk about it being like a suit of armor, a bio-shield to repel the horrors of the Rona. I believe that as the vaccines continue to fail spectacularly and epically, the hate and terror from those who have been duped, for those who truly believed they were getting a suit of armor, will only increase and mutate into something dangerous.

We are already seeing waves of it. Be prepared for a tsunami as more and more data comes out, and stand firm in your convictions. If you can, love those who will wake up and see their errors. Help them to heal and do your best to assuage their fears. You know how benign Coronavirus has now become, and you also know that early treatment, a robust immune system, and common sense are much more of a phalanx against this boogeyman than anything these vaccines can provide.

The terror is real, the failure is almost complete, and the time is now for us to change the narrative.

One of the key things that Desmit says is that people who are in mass formation are there because of something in their old lives. Free floating anxiety, the sense of impending doom, feeling lost and purposeless…this is the fertile ground that those seeking control sow into.

This explains why these people, people we know and love, have doubled and tripled down on a narrative, even when that narrative is proven false. It doesn’t matter if “the leader” lies or how much evidence is presented to them, because here’s the stark truth…

We need the mass formed to start to viscerally FEEL what the logical ends to a digital passport are.

We need them to look at their children and understand that horror when their child is ripped from their arms because they’ve decided a 7th booster in 2 years is too much for a little body to properly process.

We need to paint the stark reality of what a global, digital, transhumanistic world actually looks like, over and over, through as many mediums as possible.

I don't quite know the explanation for this. I think of PhD's as the most conformist, being the most "educated", but maybe they have also learned a bit of heathy skepticism.

Like when you wear a surgical mask for two years and don't get sick and then when they tell you the masks don't work, instead of breathing freely, you put on an n95 to further restrict the oxygen getting to your brain.

I have heard elsewhere that one very common emotion among the vaxxed whose eyes are opened to reality is shame. That's a tough emotion to deal with, both for them and for those of us to whom they confess it. It's difficult to watch someone experiencing shame; there's little we can do to help them deal with it, and the pain is almost palpable. Better that they wake up and deal with the shame, if that's what they all feel, than for them to remain asleep.

Cooties find their way into how in-groups stereotype out-groups in many, most or all societies not because there is a super-cagey cabal creating the perfect narrative.

Rather, the moral here is that these beliefs get selected for over time because they fit our innate preconceptions so well. The mainstream narrative ends up fitting the physics of cooties — as it often does for out-groups — because societies evolve, and the beliefs that conform more closely to our instinctive biases get selected for.

Cooties, cooties everywhere because humans humans everywhere. It’s convergent evolution. Covid hysteria stumbled its way, as all societies do, to treating the out-group in similar, cooties-driven ways.

The narcissism, the relentless fear and hysteria (now totally unmoored from anything actually happening), the emotional self-indulgence, the moral certainty, even towards the end a glimmer of self-awareness: I couldn’t have written a better parody had I tried. You have here the archetypal Corona hystericist, an increasingly obscure species consisting mostly of upper middle-class, morally self-superior insular urbanites – the kinds of people who Trust the Science, buy overpriced granola at the Biomarkt, and derive their opinions from the very state media organs that have spent the last two years carpet bombing our culture with Corona fear porn.

People like this woman spent 2020 and the first part of 2021 being afraid, but then they got vaccinated, and when that didn’t kill the virus, they got angry. They got angry because the virus didn’t go away even though they really really wanted the virus to go away, and because the press and politicians told them that all of this was the fault of the unvaccinated. The article goes into a little more detail about this woman’s anger, not only at her husband, but at all of the unvaccinated – anger at them over their noncompliance, deepened by her powerlessness to make them receive vaccination.

I’m struck by the parallels between the failures of The Best & the Brightest(TM) in the Vietnam War and now in the Covid War.

They begin with high-minded ideals (perhaps).

But their attempts to quantify progress create structural incentives for barbarity. In Vietnam it was body counts in the Covid war it’s vaccine counts.

Eventually as the original goal (winning) slips from their grasp, they throw up their hands and regress into savagery:

This really is a class war.

What few people realized before the invention of the internet was that most bourgeois gatekeepers were always illegitimate. They weren’t smarter, better, nor more talented than the rest of us. Our society was a series of cartels within cartels within cartels.

With the introduction of broadband and then ubiquitous mobile phones, the peasants were able to find each other and compare notes about the various cartels we were living under. Social media gave us a megaphone. Barriers to entry came down. True talent started to emerge. Avenues emerged to challenge power and people started pointing out that the various emperors have never had any clothes. The gatekeepers could no longer control the narrative, the facts, nor the public. And those who had always held the reins of power throughout the developed world started freaking out.

So the gatekeepers instinctively reached for digital book burning and poisonous injections, propaganda, demagoguery, surveillance, and totalitarianism — their every action motivated by defending their crumbling class position. Society must be defended. It’s the hiss that fills every CNN broadcast and every utterance from the mouth of Leana Wen, Michael Osterholm, and Peter Hotez. It’s Gollum hissing my precious as he gazes lovingly upon the idolatrous ring. It’s the mantra of the fascists and the justification that they will use to do literally anything to stay in power. It’s the idea that we must smash.
