Not happening. Not sure it ever will in a practical way. If we still haven't gotten mass production of solar cars, it for sure in not happing in planes that literally need to fly in the clouds and ever changing weather. The power needed and battery capacity is too high weight wise for flight. Sure there's one off prototypes, but there are no profit margins in solar aircraft until batteries weigh 1/4 of what they do and have the same power. The weight distribution would be a nightmare with a bank of heavy batteries. And your payload would probably be a backpack. Basically a useless aircraft or 20 mile commuter aircraft in good weather and the burden of getting a FAA license.
