He was corrupt as they come. I don't think outsiders really realize how bad Chicago was politically. It's still bad, but the internet and cameras have made it much more difficult for politicians to fuck around.

I've had multiple meetings with Danny Solis who was a Hispanic Clinton bitch (Alderman) on Chicago's Southwest side over zoning changes. Everything had a price. I mean everything. We had a State Rep living in one building we owned at a point. I got a glimpse into the machine politics of Chicago. Likely goes on elsewhere, but cash is king, let's put it that way with these guys. Meetings and interactions were very mafioso to the Hollywood level.

That sounds about right.

The entire city council of our suburb of Chicago Ridge was indicted for corruption.
