Ok, but if Russia refuses to call this a war, refuses to commit their full military and resources, do you think they're going to pull out their portable bridges, or give a rats ass about getting anyone off the island?

Your oath is bullshit. False words to get a job to kill people. You're a goon, a thug. You'd murder me before you'd dispatch a traitor.

Isn't that correct?

Can't find the traitors yet? Let me point them out. They are in Langley Virginia, Washington DC, Silicon Valley California, and Wallstreet NY.

Can't fucking see them yet?

Your oath is bullshit. You are the greatest disappoint to me and to this nation. "Thank you for you FALSE service". You have never served me or this nation, I was just made to pay for you at the end of a gun.

You worked as a criminal thug for multinational corporations that undermined this country with a criminal syndicate that forced me to pay for it. Eyes wide open. At least I didn't participate in it, you did.

You can bitch about what I just said, how am I incorrect?

Fucking 30 years of fucking war. Fuck you for engaging in it. A complete waste of our resources. You got a pension don't you? For murdering people. Good for you. I live in a society that only the SHIT rises to the top. If I engage in immoral, depraved evil, it's easy to move up. You just did that early. I'm still resisting it.

Nice asshole comment.

You have no clue how well our generation has had it thanks to Pax Americana.

Whatever our sins (which are many), we managed to keep the world a much more peaceful and prosperous place since we became the world's policeman and no longer had a multi-polar world of state actors killing everyone.

I don't care that America isn't perfect, I care that we are better than everyone else.

Russia will slowly consume all of Ukraine. They don't really care about civilians, no more than the United States does.

So we can pay for a fucking war.

POLICEMEN? Haha, like the Capone gang, that's how you justify "your police". The military has no interest in keeping the "peace". They intentionally create conflict to justify what they do, which is murder.

Why do you still trust the government at this point?

Here's out climate catastrophe:

How fucking much do they have to lie to you, before you realize they are lying to you? Did you forget about the cornavirus statistics? Was THAT true?

It's infuriating. No matter how much they blow smoke up your asshole, you can't see it. "Well, if they were lying to me SOMEBODY would tell me the truth" - well I am doing that now. I'm sick of this shit. You'll believe any bullshit if it comes out the propagandabox. I'm tired of it.

In your graph, what the Y axis? Percentage? Numbers? Cow farts? It's not labelled. I wonder why that is.

Iraq is owned by the United States, it's just not on a map.

Why do you trust official decrees? Why can't you see through this?

Does the UN have to tell you what to think? The US owns Iraq as much as it owns Japan, or Germany for that matter. These nations will not act in any way that they are not directed, by the United States, to act. Don't you realize that?

The US does not own Iraq.

We have put in place diplomatic treaties with Japan and Germany for mutual defense. Until now they have greatly relied on our promises for their security. Things have gotten iffier lately as to what the US can militarily control. Hence, the outbreak of civil war in Sudan. Without the US being able to contain the violence there, expect it to spread to neighboring countries. I am expecting several millions to die because of our inability to act.

You'd murder me before you'd dispatch a traitor.

Why would I kill you? Maybe a military member would follow your diatribe and determine on his own that you are an enemy of the Constitution, then follow your advice and take you out.

Are you so far into anger that you cannot see that when an entity is granted the ability to use force, that entity need be kept on a leash? That is why the military does not determine the enemy and is kept under civilian control. Politicians determine who we go to war with, what weapons the miliary gets, and the rules of engagement. Judges determine who is not acting with the Constitution. Why can't you see that if every military member decided who was a domestic enemy, then generals would rule? Every senator would worry about some special forces commander declaring that senator "unconstitutional."

I wrote previously that you could use your 2nd Amendment rights to go after any politician you deemed a tyrant. You replied that you would get killed. I flew tankers but have some friends who flew F-111s. During the 1st Gulf War, those F-111 guys were told they would experience 25% casualties (did not happen, but nobody knew that ahead of time). The crews flew anyway, sometimes multiple sorties per day dodging anti-aircraft fire. Now think of the ground folks, like the tank drivers who had to drive through land that had to be cleared for mines to fight the 4rth largest army in the world that would hit them with tanks of their own, artillery, and attack helicopters. These guys also went into battle even when told to expect high casualties.

You seemed dismayed that a military man is not willing to take out who you deem an enemy of the Constitution, while you are too cowardly to do that job yourself. You better be glad that the military is disciplined to attack only when commanded by appointed authorities and nor free to attack who they please. Otherwise, you would just be some soldier's bitch.

Don't be naive.

Iraq's government has requested the US to leave several times only for the US to ignore the request. They are a subservient government. Japan and Germany are a bulwark against China, the US won't actually defend them. They are merely military installations for future wars.

We are a fucking empire. That's why shithead Pence doesn't concern himself with internal problems.

First of all, I wouldn't be so fucking stupid as to use a gun. I'd design a quad copter to drop in a lawn dart into their head. That's SIMPLE to do.

Second of all, politicians don't matter, they are servants. They don't make any decisions.

Third of all, if I had the power to kill, say 10,000 people, I wouldn't know who kill. One cutout would replace another.

What I'd have to do is intimidate the enemy from co-operating with the real enemy. It wouldn't be just a matter of killing somebody, it would involve torture to find the next level up, and I expect I would find cutout after cutout.

You apparently are the type of person that if a friend convinced you that his wife was brutally raped and murdered, you might do something about it, and when he later told you HE murdered his wife, you'd have no problem with it. You do the dirty work for liars and criminals, and have no problem with it even when you know you've been deceived.

That's how I view these fucking wars.

They lie to you about why you're doing it, and you're not upset in the least. What is wrong with you? You're not like me. You're not human. You'll kill a child if you're ordered to do it, all you have to do is accept some sort of lie, any lie, and you'll do it, and even after you find out the truth, you're untroubled.

Isn't that correct?

No, I just view you as the muscle behind a mafia. I'm not troubled by that.

I would be troubled if I though you were fooled and tricked - but if you fooled and tricked, and human, you'd be upset by being fooled and tricked, and you are not upset.

Is this unreasonable of me? Am I missing logic or making an error in my reasoning? You have murdered people over a non existent weapons of mass destruction program in Iraq. Aren't you curious as to why you killed them? Apparently not. How can you be untroubled? How can you not hate the persons that ordered to do this? Where is my error in thinking and morality?

But you have a pension - as long as it will last. Your complicity is ruining this nation.

Tell me what my error in thinking is. I might be in error, but nobody in the military has ever refuted that we don't have domestic enemies ever and I've never seen a goddamned thing done about them. I've seen 20 years of intelligence officials lying to congress, congress lying to the public, the president lying to the public, and a stolen election, clearly stolen. Nothing will make you act. Nothing. Absolutely nothing will make you uphold your bullshit oath, nothing at all.

So, stop saying you serve the nation, you never did, and never will. You served a criminal syndicate and you were tricked into it. I don't fault you for that, but I do fault you for denying it.

I've not entirely been stopped. I'm just not really certain if I want to die for these sheep and cattle.

I've tried a LONG TIME to think I'm part of you, and after 3 years of "the unvaccinated pose a threat to the vaccinated" and other bullshit, obvious bullshit, I don't know if I'm part of you. "Republicans" eagerly supported the Iraq War (over weapons of mass destruction that didn't exist), "democrats" eagerly supported the bombing of Libya "to prevent a humanitarian crisis" that left it in civil war with slavery markets.

These are both equal tragedies, horrors. I don't know if I want to be on that side.

I have the absolute capacity for evil, but I also experience guilt.

I think I just want to sit this all out. I can inform you, but I don't want to intervene. If you do nothing about it, you deserve what comes. The whole purpose of the Internet was to inform the public, we just had no idea that the public didn't give a shit. They don't care.

I am very likely to be killed by my government, because I openly oppose it, and I'm not kidding - I'm an open dissident. I'm using my real name here. It was an experiment to see if anybody with moral conscious existed in the government, well, they don't exist. Well, they exist, but they are very rare. I don't know if it's because people don't know, or if people just don't have moral conscience. I honestly don't know. I'm always drawn to a dichotomy, and even then, I think it might be a false one.

The Iraq War in 2002, there was no weapons of mass destruction program. I know our government knew this before the war began. 800,000 dead over that on the Iraqi side. Should I feel no sympathy for them? What was the purpose? I don't know. Maybe it's just evolution.

No outrage though. I don't think I'm like any of you. Somehow I've been put into a hell or a purgatory, to deal with this complete lack of morality or consistent though. It sucks.

Dude, all the assholes in the intelligence agencies are ex-military, or just criminals hired by them.

Who's Ray Epps?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ray_Epps_(military_veteran)

United States Marine Corps

Oh, US Marine Corps, and a fucking TRAITOR to the nation, a fucking asshole intelligence asset to entrap innocent people into prison for over 2 years. CIVILIANS, who he swore to protect.

Aren't you all honorable, killing based on a command, entrapping innocent US civilians, nothing to do with the country of course, but you follow orders.

I would have joined the military when I was 18, if I thought it was honorable. I scored a nearly perfect score on the ASVAB test, I missed one question, always curious what it was. I had recruiters calling me when I was 16. But I knew about the Gulf of Tonkin Incident, I knew that it was likely (and later confirmed to be true) that FDR knew about the attack on Pearl Harbor.

IF our military protected this nation, I would have gladly served, but they don't. They are the thugs and goons of this nation.

I'm telling you straight out, you will never, ever follow your fucking oath, and that's it. I know you made it when you were young, I'm saying it was just bullshit. There's 100's of thousands of you, and you can't find a domestic enemy when I can? I'm not that fucking brilliant.

I'm just telling you I see. I'm not expecting you to do anything, I'm just telling you I see right through you. I'm opaque. The FIB can pick me up whenever they want, they can fuck themselves. Any sign of torture, I'll confess anything, lie about any confession, say whatever they wish me to say, I know that everybody does just to make it stop. Our enemy is the fucking government who pays you, and who extorts me and I'm not afraid to say it. Got to die sometime.

You might think this is just bravado. I'm fearless at this point. Crack head son as the president's son, pedophile president, on the verge of WWIII. Fuck all of you. We have president Caligula. And the Praetorian Guard won't do shit. Fuck all of you. Let Dumbocrazy run its course, even when the "prezdident" isn't even fucking elected. Our Republic didn't fail, our citizens failed the Republic. The WHOLE POINT of the internet is so you could know what was going on, nobody gives a shit, you deserve to be slaves, and you will be slaves and so will your children, and grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and so on, until they cannot tolerate it anymore. Might be a 1000 years before they revolt.

Thank god for the military that swore an oath to uphold the Constitution!!!!! GOOD FUCKING JOB. Thank you for your service.

Stop expecting respect for being in the military. Being part of it has been nothing but harmful to this nation. We're being invaded on the Southern Border. You follow commands, of traitors to this nation. You can't spend 30 minutes reading the Constitution.

If I had joined the military, I would have been court martialed, for upholding the law. I have no respect for the military, I have respect for the law. It's as corrupt as Hunter Biden bringing coke into the Whitehouse. I don't bend, but I bet you do. I know you do. Go along to get along, right?

Did you give any thought to whether or not you would be fighting on moral grounds?

At age 19 or so, when I went to a Service Academy, I was a strong believer in national defense. I still am. As you may have guessed, I served with hundreds of others (of all races) who were willing to risk their lives to defend the USA. Very naive for anyone to believe the country does not need a military. Just like those who think that police are evil and thus call for police departments to be disbanded. Playing the accuser while claiming a moral high ground is as easy as it is hypocritical. For example:

Mexican cartels are fed by America's irresponsible appetite for drugs and these cartel members are the most vicious criminals on Earth. If you do dope, coke, or other smuggled drugs you are putting money directly into the hands of people who murder over 35,000 people per year. One cartel member, who is still free, blew up an entire airliner full of passengers just to kill one politician who was aboard. There are mass graves of innocents caught up between cartel wars. Think anyone cares who gets killed, as long as they get their high?

Back in the 1960s, it was common for moms to sew their kids' clothes from patterns. It was cheaper than buying, since clothing at the time was made in the USA at union shops. Kids clothes are stupidly cheap now and patterns are unheard of. The reason clothes are so cheap is because they are made by slaves in Bangladesh, Vietnam, and China under conditions that would not be tolerated in the US. Similar situation with your Apple or other smartphone, plus computers and other electronics. Think any of these buyers care about slavery? New Balance for a time made running shoes in New Jersey and in China. The same model shoe from New Jersey cost $10 more than the Chinese counterpart. Seems like Americans would gladly pay that $10 extra for shoes made using American labor and pollution standards like I did, right? Nope, the New Jersey operation was shut down and all New Balance shoes are slave wage imports. As long as they can save a buck, no one cares about slave and child labor. If you own an electric car, did you care about the children who labored to mine the cobalt for that battery?
2666   GNL   2023 Jul 19, 6:57pm

I understand. I just can't imagine realizing I wasn't defending America is all. It would bother me. Of course we need a military. But not an offensive one. No, it should be for defense. You have to see it from the rest of the world's eyes also. IMO.
2667   GNL   2023 Jul 19, 6:59pm

Do you think we should be fighting Russia? Do you blame China for defending their area of influence the same as America does ours? We need a multi power world otherwise we undoubtedly will get world tyranny. That's not hype.

Really kid, simple? Please elaborate, as I know many folks who would love this to take out coyotes and other vermin. I am aware of using hunting drones with night vision to spot coyotes and the like, but that only gives the location. How would you aim this "lawn dart?" How would you account for wind? I would be impressed if you were able to fly a drone 100 feet up and drop a bar room dart to pop a red toy balloon set in the field below.
2669   fdhfoiehfeoi   2023 Jul 19, 7:09pm

I have a lot of respect for the majority of those in the military, as many of them date the tradition back several generations. They are Americans first, and hold to some very honorable ideals. Outside the top brass, most of them are unaware of the military industrial complex.

But I would be just fine with no standing army. We didn't need it to defeat one of the greatest empires in world history, and we don't need it now. As long as we have access to any and all armaments like we did back then, that's all we need. I don't expect the army to fight for my freedom if I'm not willing to do it myself.

On the slave wage argument, I don't see it. Unless the people are physically shackled to their workstation, they have a choice. That's like saying San Diego is a slave housing market because I have to pay prices I can barely afford. It ignores my ability to find under market rentals, or leave the market entirely.

Yeah, tremendously simple and an infra-red camera. They are cheap.

All you need is some servos on the fins and a heat sensitive camera. Identify the target, and home in - do you seriously not realize how easy this would be to do? It's easy to kill anything. I'm not a sociopath though, that why I oppose my government. They are sociopaths.

It's very simple to kill somebody, but it has little if any utility.

Want to keep ducks out of your pool? Simple, just have a machine that chases them relentlessly when a heated object is detected. I'll do that, easy to do. I won't kill though.

BigSky says

How would you aim this "lawn dart?" How would you account for wind?

Just a simple servo mechanism.

It would have to be an active dart, but it's a shitload cheaper and humane than a drone that killed 100 people at wedding party, to SUPPOSEDLY take out a single person. Identifying your target would be the difficulty.

Our military PURPOSELY creates terrorists. We, after all, need some reason to support this criminal gang of fucks after all. This is all a stage. If Biden was the real fucking thing behind arming Ukraine, why don't the Russians kill him? Pretty easy to do it. The man is extremely old, very feeble. Just put a drop of organic mercury on him, he's dead in a month, it would feel like a single raindrop. He would slowly lose his mind (even more so) then die. An autopsy would be able to reveal what happened though. There's a million other ways that aren't detectable, but I'm not a murderer, and although I have looked at this shit, I don't want to share it.

Anybody with any level of competency, can murder anybody without any threat of them being caught. It was just a mental exercise for me at one point. I have no desire to murder anybody, I don't think it would change anything for the better.

I wouldn't kill anybody, most likely. I'd kill to protect, that would be the only possible reason, and it would be a last resort.

Here's something from the 1980's, it was a missile that used a fiber optic cable to allow the person that fired it to steer it in to the target. The cable was connected to the rocket, wasn't burned away, and the person just steered it into the target with a camera feed. Just like a video game. That technology is 40 years old. If you just want to eliminate the enemy, it's easy, it's a question of cost versus lives. Lives have a cost. Sometimes it's cheaper to kill a human being to do the same thing. Reducing the cost of technology will eliminate that, but they still kill people. They don't think we have any worth at all.
2671   BigSky   2023 Jul 20, 1:57pm

richwicks says

Yeah, tremendously simple and an infra-red camera. They are cheap.

I thought you were referring using an on-board camera to hover directly over and site in a target an then drop the dart on a small target 500 or so feet below, after somehow solving the issues with platform stability, wind and making an accurate bombsight in the first place. But now I see you are actually referring to a IR guided device. I do not know what "cheap" cameras you are referring to, but to get a useful IR reading you will need at least 3x3 pixels. No toy camera is going to have the resolution to get 3x3 pixels on human sized objects 500 feet away. That would be a challenge for a $30,000 pro inspection camera.

Even if you had raided someone's Arduino project and acquired a cheap camera with sufficient resolution, exactly how would you build the interface between the camera and the servos? I already know how to build a tiny device that could take inputs from a small hobby barometer or accelerometer to actuate hobby servos, but reading from a camera is whole 'nother league.

Remember, you spoke of how simple this was to build for you as a private person, not as some entity with a military budget. Thus, let's not talk about how easy this would be for the government to build. Also, lets keep the discussion as an engineering issue between two tech people and spare us all the anti-government rants.

By the way, if you could actually build that duck chaser, you could make a fortune selling it. Make a version that could chase geese off golf courses as well.

Know anybody that can market it?

No toy camera is going to have the resolution to get 3x3 pixels on human sized objects 500 feet away. That would be a challenge for a $30,000 pro inspection camera.

All you need is a Peltier junction, cool it enough to pick up IR.

Just have a center target, go for the brightest point in the center.

I'm not a murderer, but I'm perplexed that our military "can't figure out" the obvious. There was a guy that made a sniper gun for game, and what you did, was select the point you wanted to hit, then pull the trigger, and it would guide you and fire once you had the right trajectory. Military wouldn't buy it.

What we are sending to Ukraine, and Syria, and Afghanistan, and all these places seem like surplus from WWII. Why would you need a person to be behind a gun today? Use a camera, and a monitor, let it be remotely controlled. They have drones now that just float around patrolling your home.

Drones with mini nukes will solve this targeting problem.

No such thing as a mini nuke really. You need to reach critical mass to create the explosion. There's a limit to how small they can be.

At this point, even dildos could defeat Ukraine.

If the story was true. This is US "news" media after all.

All you need to get a story written today, is make up some bullshit that supports the narrative. Our media today is about as real as the National Enquirer was 40 years ago. The National Enquirer hasn't changed, the rest of the media has. They no longer even care about giving the veneer of credibility.

Yeah. I mean it could happen, but it takes a whole lot less effort for Ukey propagandists to just feed the story to US news media outlets instead.

They have done it before.

ukraine they can’t. but san franfagsco has fallen long ago to dildos.

Oh good God, that is like saying "You do not need a camera, just expose the film to the open air."

Wow, you sidestepped the interface question with a vague generality on how you think a heat seeking missile works. You clearly do not understand the nature of IR light, and have ignored the need for filtering and discrimination, let alone acquiring the target in the first place from the mass of heat signatures. Even if you did have your magic Peltier sensor, you dodged the direct question on how to interface it with a device to control servos. Remember, you bragged that you could built this dart dropper simple and cheap.

It is clear you have no idea what you are talking about and are now making it up as you go along as an attempt to defend your initial boast. I presume any other blog readers with practical tech experience who read that arrogant boast just rolled their eyes at your obvious ignorance and moved on. You are a fraud who just likes to pretend and run his yap.
