Since 2008 they allegedly spent umpteens billions $$ to modernize their army and this is what they got - bedframes on tanks and firewood on military trucks? Were these billions simply stolen?

RFP-General Lobbyist Technologies Install of Stryker "Slats" - $100,000 per vehicle- approved DOD Contract Number #64231

2004 General Lobbyist Technology Donations:
Senator John McCain $5000
Rep Paul Ryan $5000
Rep Nancy Pelosi $5000

"Russia has a corruption problem"

EDIT: (This post is sarcastic, but basically what happens with military contracts.)

Are those figures an average per donor? If they are total amounts, then they are insignificant. Those lobbyists would lose out to others that offer 6 figure book deals and speaking fees.

US Politicians are very cheap, but I amended my post to clarify it was an illustration of what happens with US Military Contracts.

Slats do work against RPG-7, which are the primary anti-tank weapon in the Haji lands. And they do work against that. But $100K seems a bit high, yes.

This is a very good example of what Conservatives are up against. Conservatives have always been fairly diverse, unlike the picture the leftoids deliberately paint of them. The leftoids are always for/against the current thing, brainless, amorphous, masses without any backbone or principles. Their weakness is getting eaten by their own bullshit they mindlessly promulgate, it's so much bullshit that it's hard not to fall into a trap. Their strength is that they are an amorphous, borg-like mass of groupthinkers who'd sell out their family to score political points and harm "right-wingers". There is no disagreement in their ranks as opposed to Conservatives, who have the neocon/rino and the tea-party wing, and those are only two of many. Pretty much nobody on this board has made any excuses for Putin's current actions, the vast majority of those opposed to further involvement made arguments as to why the US should stay out of this conflict, and pointed out the hypocrisy in dealing with the rest of the world and our own plentiful invasions and killings.

We're $30T in debt.

Where's the money coming from?

I'm talking about money, so don't give me glittering generalities about oil paying for it or the Indispensable Nation must dispense with taxpayer money because Principles, etc.

Ukraine not only has a corruption problem, they interfered openly in our elections and bragged about it. They can fuck right off.

Sell arms to Ukr and Poland. They can kill Russians and our debt goes down. Win-win!
BTW Trump did exactly that.

Do you guys get your propaganda directly from the Urkaine government, or do you think you're actually "researching" it? Like this guy ^^. Go to his site and I see he has ties to CEPA, a think tank in Washington. Guess who their top donors were in 2021:

@RWSGFY I've posted several links to impartial sources who actually reports facts and news. What you've posted qualifies as neither. Senator Joe would be proud, so would BLM.

Oddly enough, in parts of the US where handguns are tightly controlled, one is allowed to own weapons like a Javelin and a cannon. Obviously not practical.

A Javelin would be an excellent DEFENSIVE weapon against a drive by in the hood. If the price point were lower they would sell like hotcakes!

Why is war and ammo so expensive?

According to the header that's TOR, short-range air defense system. Public is better familiar with it's medium-range cousin BUK because BUK shut down MH17.

Have you read or listened to anything about Ukraine or Russia longer than a few minutes? All your links are from sites who spent the last two years banning all opinions that didn't match theirs. I've looked at your sources, in depth, and have yet to find anything remotely credible. Have you bothered to read any of my posts?

Dude, as an ignoramus who was completely unaware of how starving of certain populations in USSR worked, you don't exactly have a credibility for me to take YOUR posts about that part of the world seriously. You demonstrated a serious lack of education on the subject. You should really snap out of ragging on your own parents because they do seem to be much better educated. And you are too old for that charming teenage rebellion anyway.

At least you've stopped pretending by not posting your sources anymore. Next step is a disclaimer:

The following comment could depict Russian, Ukrainians, or actors. The truth is meaningless as long as my side wins.

The part Eric Swallwell doesn't understand: if you can't damage a tank with a rifle you sure can destroy supply convoys. Tanks without ammo are just tractors. Tanks without fuel - real estate.

Stolen, mislocated, mis-appropriated, etc. Using the $$ to develop hypersonic shit (or just cartoons to show hypersonic shit) has a much greater "wow" factor than to change manufacturing processes. Plus, military is a huge bureaucracy which may miss stupidly obvious things until it's collective face is rubbed right into it.

Why not, they practically got a pinky swear from all of the world powers, that we wouldn't war with each other, or interfere with each other's bidness.
