I agree. Maybe troops should never leave their home country, since their sole purpose is to defend that country's people, not to expand the power of tyrants and oligarchs.

If people are concerned about what's going on somewhere else, don't advocate sending guns, go yourself. Or setup some kind of humanitarian aide to help smuggle people out. Setup a refugee camp at the border. The last thing we need is a government with a LONG history of being woefully inept at foreign diplomacy stepping in.

I think it's ok for neighbors to step in as it concerns them. Maybe shared border rule roughly (not set in stone).

The Eastern Europeans can never make a stab at border acceptance, and probably vice-versa. The Poles feel robbed of their territory (nevermind it isn't Polish nor Catholic) and secretly want Commonwealth II. Maybe the Russians really do want an Empire.

In that case, let them have it.

The Western Europeans won't get off their ass until it is too late and are too cheap to spend money to prepare, they'll wait until there is no time to rebuild an army.
