Kind of a fast deal I suppose. Russia announced the ban on Wheat and Sugar sales, obviously price on those commodities should go up. Any suggestions? Or too late at this point?

Nickel. Don't spend any of your coins even the copper zinc clad dime and quarter will be worth way more than their face value some day. Currently the metal value of 20 nickels ($1 face) is $1.70

Nickel prices roughly doubled to unprecedented highs Tuesday, as the war in Ukraine fueled concerns of supply disruptions for the metal, a key component of electric-vehicle batteries.

Not to mention that nickel is a key ingredient in armor and stainless steel.

But I believe it is illegal to melt US coins for scrap. Maybe Canadian coins...

Anyway, where would you sell them?

Technically, yes. But they are already in a convenient form for measure and purity. You can't sell them for more than face value, yet.

Pocket change is a long term hold that will always be good for pizza if the metal content spike is never realized.

Kyle Bass bought 20,000,000 nickels in 2011. "I like Nickels".

If more and more paper and electronic dollars are created how can the price of everything NOT go up.

My wife had an artist friend (welded metal sculpture) who had enough scrap stainless steel to pay the rent for three months of his live-in studio while his family got rid of all the crap he accumulated.

I pity my wife if she has to go through all my worldly possessions.
