I think Chomsky taught James Joyce how to write 'Ulysses'.

I'm surprised the 'conspiracy theorist' label still carries so much dismissive propaganda weight. It's probably the most useful coined Satanic reversal phrase of the psychopaths.

Chomsky and his ilk have always had their "principles" vacillate widely depending on where their mother ships - CCCP and CCP - are standing. There is no daylight between him and Pukin/Xi-Pingpong. When Pukin was against Iraq war - Chomsky was against it, blamed the US and demanded full withdrawal of US troops from Iraq. Now when Pukin does exactly the same (except worse) in Ukraine - Chomsky is very understanding, does not demand any withdrawal of Red Army war criminals from Ukraine and ... wait for it ... is blaming the US.

Such a principled intellectual that Chomky guy is. The only principle being: whatever happens blame the US, side with CCCP/CCP.

Avram is over 90 years old. He should be in the same care home as Biden and Fetterman.

Which Chomsky? The "I don't have to tell you about my numerous meetings and flights with Epstein" Chomsky? That one?

Chomsky is dependable; he's always 100% wrong.
Like death and taxes, you can always count on Chomsky.

I rarely agree with Noam Chomsky yet he made a bold statement in an interview with Russell Brand that caught my attention. He claimed that we are now living in a kind of totalitarian system that is worse than the former Soviet Union. Chomsky cites the coverage of the war in Ukraine as an example. Not a word can be said that deviates from the dominant narrative or the person who utters it is smeared and canceled. But the dominant story about that war regularly is seriously incorrect. ...

Censorship appears primarily as self-censorship. Man is a self-censoring creature. He wants to be loved, admired and desired; he weighs his words because he shivers and trembles at the thought of rejection and abandonment. That fear alone sews his mouth shut.

However, “real” censorship is also rampant in our society. The CEO of the Flemish public broadcaster imposed a gag order at the beginning of this year—staff may no longer publicly criticize the broadcaster, under penalty of dismissal. And a few months later, the prime minister of Belgium imposed a similar gag order: ministers who publicly criticize the government will be forced to resign.

I know the reasons that Putin gave for entering Ukraine. Ukraine refused to remain neutral, Russia has been invaded twice through Ukraine, and they wouldn't implement the Minsk Accords. All of this is true.

I know the reason that the US gave for entering Iraq: Saddam Hussein had a secret weapons of mass destruction program, using mobile weapons labs.

So I have a question
1) was what Russia claimed true about Ukraine?
2) was what the United States claimed true about Iraq?

I have no love of Chomsky, but the situations aren't identical.

Russia's motivations for going to war with Ukraine may not be the true motivations, but at least he gave valid reasons to attack it. The United States' motivations for attacking Iraq were outright lies.

"A wholly unjustified and brutal invasion of Iraq.. I mean of Ukraine..... (Iraq too, haha) anyway"

And the fucking audience giggles and laughs. Disgusting.

The situations are not the same, but you pretend they are. Why?
