When Russia invaded Ukraine, he got furloughed from his airline. He approached the Ukraine Air Force, He offered his services as a pilot. He was declined on the grounds that they had more pilots than airplanes. He reported to the Ukraine army. He was rejected there because he had a special skill that would be in great demand once Ukrainian airlines started to fly again.
Denys has a wife and child. He could have joined millions of other refugees and fled the country. He declined to do this. He knew that Kyiv would be very dangerous. He located a small village far from all military activities, He moved there. He now shares a house with another family. He has electricity, internet, food, and water as well s a roof over his head.
Denys reinvented himself. He turned to YouTube. He started a podcast Update From Ukraine. It is full of factual and accurate information. This is where I get my Ukraine news. I recommend this podcast to all of you!
