Has anybody purchased I bonds? What are the pros and cons of this? Thank you.

We are in the process of purchasing for the whole family. My only regret is that we did not do last year as well as it seems a good place to park an emergency fund.
I am going to buy these, seems like a good deal to me.

Does anyone know if these bonds are protected assets if one files bankruptcy?

A wildcard exemption allows you to exempt any property of your choosing. Ohio's wildcard exemption will cover up to $1,325. (Ohio Rev. Code Ann. 2329.66(A)(18).) Learn how to add a wildcard to another exemption and protect even more.
