There are pros and cons for it and against it. I don't like it at all, but I'd probably be caring for 3-4 other kids from my other SIL If it didn't exist. So I'm biased.

My concern is there's going to be a lot of poverty stricken people now pumping babies out that would have aborted in the past. I'm not sure that's the best element of our society we need around. Some make it work wise and financially, but generally if you're born poor, you end up poor. Factor in border control and I could see a significant population jump by 2030.

By the time I'm 60ish I could see this being a problem (39 now). Basically 2042-2050 I have a feeling there's going to be an employment issue. With AI and automation, and now in some places not being able to abort, we're going to see population spike and now is the time those kids could have been aborted. Again, don't like it, but certain people shouldn't be having kids and they might now. Massive burden on society when we're already in a shit state of affairs as we speak.

Andrew Sullivan (gay, Catholic) made the point on Real Time that no other country has the right to an abortion in their constitution. Therefore, every country/state where it is legal requires negotiation and compromise.
