Of course you used to like Barak and Rachel Madow and have come to see them for who they are. There is still hope for you yet.

You mean Obama? No. I looked at his voting record. I supported Ron Paul in 2008 and was at a straw poll that was cancelled when he was going to get the vote, they just cancelled it, because the assholes wanted us to vote for Fred Thompson. The primaries are super rigged.

She was right about her criticism about the Iraq War. I just didn't know she was a partisan slut. That became obvious she was a partisan slut when she defended every fucking war that Obozo dragged us into - 5 of them. She's a fucking piece of shit, but I didn't realize that when she was just criticizing Bush, as she was CORRECT to do.

Believe it or not, I just see what is, without prejudice. I am not entirely free of being propagandized, but I'm more free than most.

I can freely and correctly criticize the Israeli state and I don't mind what people call me, because when I criticize it, I'm correct. You can call me anti-Semite, bigot, racist, faggot, asshole, twat, dickhead, stupid, crazy, propagandized, but what you won't be able to do is show that I'm incorrect. I could be wrong, but I'm 50, and nobody has actually gone through the effort to show I'm wrong. Most people have no fucking idea what is going on, they just yell at you for disagreeing with "their" beliefs - they don't actually form their own beliefs. I'd say less than 10% of the population actually goes through the trouble of forming their own opinions.

When I was 20, I honestly questioned if the people I lived among, were sentient. Asking that question though leads to the next question - am I? Am I just a mechanism that is programmed to dig deeper? It's a conundrum.

I have said at least twice I envy your faith. You're not troubled. I am. I understand what it means that "when you stare into the abyss, the abyss stares back at you" - that that means is I can see thousands, maybe millions of years, and I'm not a part of that. I'm a tiny portion of that, for maybe 70, perhaps 100 years at max? It's truly impossible to imagine the gulf of time when you're this tiny bit of it. You don't think it ends, but for me, I've been thrashed in hard science and critical thinking to the point that I have to conclude this is just my little time. You never really look into that abyss. You see a future if you ever do because of your religious faith, I don't.

I would try, but this is what I really think (since you said I could say whatever I want)

King James Version
Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.

Like I said:

King James Version
Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.

Or here is how Cheers put it:

Quote from Diane in I'll Be Seeing You, Part 2
Diane: I want you to know something. Ever since we've known each other, I've said to myself, "One day, we are going to get down to the real you." Well, we did it. Do you know what the difference is between you and a fat, braying ass?
Sam: Nope.
Diane: The fat, braying ass would.

I say it with all due respect... I generally don’t discuss much with you because you are a know it all. And yet you know what I would consider nothing. That is, what you know is just not so.

But again I say it with all due respect. You are entitled to live in ignorance, under the guise of intellect and many here are impressed by your largesse and plethora of words. Congratulations!

Haha, I don't know fucking anything.

I present my thinking in an attempt to get pushback. I want pushback. I pushback as well though. I cannot determine if I'm incorrect unless I have enough information to form that opinion, if who I am talking with has different axioms, we end up with an impasse. This is why I push constantly for original sources of how people form their thinking.

I've said it many times before, I envy your ability to have faith. That was stripped from me. You don't appreciate how people lose their religious faith, they don't lose it because they just want to dump it and be free of it, it's chipped away, I was given logical paths of thinking where I could see how life could form. I understand how evolutionary psychology works, how it works not just among people but among all social animals. I understand how animal models in animal research are useful in human biology. I know how an evolutionary algorithm and neural network works.

But the thread I hang by is we cannot duplicate consciousness. We can make a machine that is better at recognizing human writing than a human being is able to recognize it, but we don't understand creativity or awareness. We are no closer to understanding this than we were 30 years ago. We have no idea how to give a machine motivation or creativity. We can only make it recognize patterns at best, mostly we use it to do random trials to do something efficiently. No AI "thinks". It has a task, but we have absolutely no idea how to make it actually ponder, wonder, or anything like that. It's clearly a machine. They are not sentient.

Intellect? I just know a lot of bullshit and I'm not certain what I "know" is true either, I'm just convinced it is.

It's a real puzzle and no man has ever figured it out, and I accept I won't either, but it's a puzzle. We get more and more data, but are we 1% there? 5% there? 50%? OR is this a dead end of investigation? You, I think, would say it's a dead end. I hope you're right in that, honestly. Better that just I am damned than everything and everybody. For me, the end of my life is the existence I had 100 years ago, oblivion. I don't fear 1960 - 11 years before I was born, but 2060.. Frustrating my meat mind fears it. I feel a need to overcome my programming.

I don’t believe you ever had faith, nor was the ability to exercise faith taken from you. You choose your own path.richwicks says

What you are describing is indoctrination. You have made yourself willingly ignorant of actual evidence, your own origin and purpose. And the more bs you absorb the more confused you have become.
richwicks says

Well, that is a start isn’t it? Only a conscious being can exercise faith. It is why we will never have a true artificial human. And it might be why when people start to connect their mind to the computers (trans humanism) they risk losing their humanity (soul) as Revelation describes.richwicks says

I think we have a pretty good understanding of the world around us, and yet it is only a fraction of what there is to know. We know almost nothing of the other dimensions. For example God is timeless, from His perspective everything He said would happen has already happened. And how can we relate to eternity? And yet, whether you know it or not you have an eternal soul. You have everything you need, except one thing, you don’t seem to want to know God.

Well said. In other words in America only the criminals and cops can be violent.

It’s all fake. Even the details that align with your view of the way things should be, against the “narrative.” They’re just baiting you, messing with you. Nobody killed anybody. These are all actors and and manufactured identities created to waste your mental energy and
demoralize you. Think cock fight, arguing with a pig, playing chess with a pigeon, tar baby.
