#westworldseason4 In the early 1970s two innovative science fiction movies premiered. The first movie starred Yul Brenner in a film called Westworld. In the storyline, affluent thrill-seekers pay a large sum of money to return to the old American West and relive the wildlife there. Things go wrong. Robots go wild, and the thrill-seekers meet tragedy. Later another movie followed starring Peter Fonda. It was called Future World. If one was affluent, they could go to this theme park and experience momentous things like a manned flight to Mars. The robots go wild again and tragedy follows.
In 2016, Warner Brothers resurrected West World in a mini-series on HBO. It was solid and competent. It won several Emmy awards. A British/Zimbabwean actress named Thandie Newton was introduced to the US audience. This lady turned 50 this year. She still has stunning beauty. She is trim and athletic. She is a great actor.
I have been watching Season 4 of the mini-series on HBO. It has veered away from a wild west theme. It has now become a brilliant science fiction series with stunning locations, computer graphics, cinematography, and writing. We have some science fiction fans among our readers including Carla Callao and Nancy Dai. This show has few equals. Here is a link for those who are curious:

Why does anyone even pay for tv, let alone watch it anymore? Read a book or get outside and do something fun. Just have internet and go OTA signal if you need TV. It's been years since I've seen content worth purchasing or using a service. I was one of those morons a decade ago dropping $120/mo+ on a DirectTV package. I didn't need it.

You don't know 'your' 'readers' on PatNet too well I am afraid. If you want to talk about Thandie here is something they might actually be interested in:

Of course you needed it, we all needed it. It was the repository for the body of work from the world's most brilliant and creative minds in the world, providing top notch quality entertainment. Then they started pushing CRT down our throats. Then the Networks turned into a Detroit city slum, virtually overnight.
We all should thank Laquisha and Shenanay for giving us all back our $125 a month, now that we've got better things to spend it on.

Get a firestick. Get a recent build (how too's all over utube)

It's been awhile but I used to get the 1-month free trial and download 5 years worth of movies then cancel at the end of the month. I still have a stack for airplane rides but am running low.

Has more 4K stuff. And pretty much everything ever filmed be it TV or movies. Canadian outfit.

Need I say V. P. N.

Back when I was severely poor microslop had some deal if you went to office depot (or one of those types of store) and signed up for their internet (earth link if I recall but I'm probably wrong) then bill gates would give you $500 to spend in their store.

My entire molecular biology lab bailed at 10:30AM. About 15 of us all showing up and 'buying' scanners, computer chairs, and a bunch of other crap. The offer was canceled only a few days later because CA law didn't prevent us from canceling the next day and keeping our loot.

This was 1998. I only tossed out my bill gates chair last year lol.

It made the news. Not just because of us but because of a lot of others in the SF bay area doing the same that day.
