Many people swear by the yearly check-up, I don't know why. If something is wrong, your body will tell you. Of course, if you are nervous about something, you could get a bad stomach or a diarrhea, but if you are just in your everyday habits, it should be obvious if your body is out of whack. Most people have completely lost touch with their own bodies, relying on man in white to take care of things. And Americans seem to me so fond of jabs ! I have several friends who run for whatever jab comes out. One had the shingles shots, she told me they were very painful, and 2 weeks later she had shingles. I know of several who still take flu shots, and have flu a couple of weeks after. One person got covid a few days after the jab. Her doc told her, she probably already had been infected prior to the jab. Wake up people. Vaccinations are derived from cows. You are not cows. Vaca is cow in Spanish isn't it?

I agree. I don't go to the doctor at all anymore. I just listen to how I feel and try to connect it to my habits. Found a lot of interesting and useful stuff that way.

One time I thought I was having a heart attack, but it was only too much chocolate. It has a bad effect on me. I've tested it many times and always found the same result, sadly.

Studies show that annual physicals have no impact on long term health outcomes.
I think that for Medicare and other health plans that support or require them they are just vaccine promotion opportunities along with pushing other profitable interventions like colonoscopy.
