My kid graduated from a public school system in Ohio in 22. In June 22, I appeared before the Board of Education meeting and thanked several teachers for educating my kid. The teachers included from his kindergarten teacher to 12th grade teacher. This school system is not perfect. I do not agree with some of the woke things that occur in the school. However, the good was more than the bad and therefore it was my duty to thank each of those teachers. I also thanked the community who funded my kid's education. We are grateful and will give back.

You are a good parent gabbar. Parents matter more than teachers, but teachers try real hard.

I was a teacher.

Provided that SS and Medicare exist at that time.

And serve you at the restaurants, care for your ailments at the hospital, and wipe your wrinkled ass in the nursing home.
Kids grow rather quickly into adults.
Neighbor kid (15) I was supervising in the pool a few years ago was now rebuilding bike tires for me at the bicycle shop. And the 16 year old kid my daughter is dating works at the In N Out where we get burgers sometimes.
Perspective, dude. Tits are actually meant for raising the next generation not just pawing at.

I used to think they won’t be around thanks to the boomers. But the jab is going to keep that from being a problem.

There's an unbelievable shortage of skilled people in the trades.

Demographics might actually save our ass.

A generation of high-income earners with a choice of jobs might want to keep their shit and grow tired of having to pay student loans for kids while wiping old asses and hearing whinging about how Medicare doesn't cover 100% for dentures

They may vote accordingly.

I guarantee they'll try to up the Soc Sec.withhold NOPE! Not one more regressive flat 1% tax on earned labor for Social Security and Medicare. Raise capital gains and fund it from the general if it's needed. Soc Sec & MC benefits should be frozen at 1% yearly increases for the next 10 years. That could very well take a huge bite out of inflation, hospitals wouldn't be able to depend on ever-rising medicare cost increases.

Boomers were warned up the ass this was coming and had 40 years of explosive stock market growth and hearty real estate appreciation to prepare. Fuck off and lick your pudding cup!

Also, GET THE HELL OUT OF NYS and CALIFORNIA. They will be taxing the F out of people to pay for retired teachers and government employees.

You bet those retired teachers and state employees will be leaving California with you. No way they want to pay all that tax.

I hope you didn't thank the woke, fag, clown world teachers. That would only encourage them.

@gabbar is right that one must thank good teachers and appreciate. Ignore bad ones.

@Patrick, Please tell your wife, I'm serious, that I am filled with joy (real joy) to hear that. I know you and your wife do not know me but, I want to support her and you in any way I can. Even if it is just words. Also, may God Bless her.

This is the biggest problem. My friends have a college aged student. They went on college visits before he was even asked or accepted to go.... They made the right decision though. Local CC. He's working grunt jobs, but I have a feeling the kids is going to be a massive success.

My other friend sent their kid to ASU and they've spoiled the fuck out of him. Both these kids are best friends. As individuals I see the first doing much better and the latter relying on grandpa and grandma money (very wealthy).

I fell into that trap in high school. 4 years later my parents basically lost every thing in the housing crash with heavy RE investments that on paper had equity of $6-8M. NEVER rely on anyone for anything including family. A spouse is about the only thing if you're committed and a team.

I was thinking. Often people retire and then find themselves searching for something to keep busy. Something to fill a void of purpose to their community.

It would be terrific if conservative culture seized on the opportunity to promote the societal benefits of teaching. It's an honorable thing to do, and especially right now due to the Marxist vermin infestation. Many successful retirees have strong morals and a wealth of skills, and may find teaching very fulfilling. And since they don't need the money, blue hair threats will bounce off them.
