I hope you are right, but I am skeptical.

Purging the swamp is a generational effort. Trump's remaining term won't see it done - it's all a question of how much irreversible change he can implement. If we had results that would swing things in a Trump direction, then we might see Vance or Tulsi take the torch for the next 8 years. That would bring us almost up to the point of inflection, where it's easier to continue the present course, than roll back the changes.

I've got a kid who will either enter the skilled trades or college in 2 years. Hell, when I was in high school, we worried about fucking WWIII with the USSR. Jobs were for the taking in the late 80's. Now, I think white collar is totally tapped out. Blue collar is Amazon warehouse labor. The highly skilled trades are where it's at, especially if you've got boys. Teach them how to manage money and invest on the side, and they'll be golden in 5 years.

This. If I had kids in high school now I'd want them to go into the trades and eventually start their own company doing a trade.
