I suspect his handlers, people like Anthony Blinken and Victoria Nuland, want a limited nuclear war as a way to prevent the whole deep state from getting hanged for causing mass death through toxxine. Disagree. We know what's going on marginally. The American population doesn't care if it doesn't involve their "boys" and dead soldiers get clicks/views. So no dead Americans, no one cares. "Oh they sent tanks, cool." That's the level we're at.

I don't trust any of the combatants either and their reporting. Fuck I don't trust anyone on the topic. No incentive for any of them to be honest about the situation. Russia can drag this out longer for sure, but at a significant cost to demographics. We/NATO can send advanced weapons forever really. Even with a bunch of drunk Ukrainians shooting them Russia has been stopped at minimum.

Without using nukes, it's extremely plausible that Ukraine can keep their territory post Crimea annex. Nukes are the X factor here. Russia can drive a truck in and detonate one. I'm highly skeptical of their long range launch capabilities after sending in the varsity team and seemingly getting their asses handed to them. As a person of Lithuanian heritage, it's Russian and Eastern European disfunction. Without a power play they'll shoot mortars and tank shells at each other for the next decade. They're morons.

It's a proxy war to weaken Russia. Not much else to it. We'll see if they're brave enough to go the nuke route. Without that they're going to lose tons of young men. So will Ukraine, but their economy really doesn't "need" them. You can grow wheat when you're 50 no problem. This will be Russias Afghanistan 2.0 is my prediction. Not sure anyone can "win" a war anymore.

I think Ukraine is done in the next year or so. The problem was the New Russian Pro Army had no depth, and the secrecy meant no logistics planning or prep. The quick pull out was because there were no follow on forces to pin down/mop up bypassed or pushed aside UAF, and the convoys were inadequate and open to counter-attack from bypassed UAF crews (or more likely, Mercs).

UAF is not rotating units much, they are doing the Vietnam mistake of assigning new recruits to existing units still in the field.
