HOWEVER

It reminded me of what I've seen in government contracting. Same shit everywhere, winner is picked in advance there too. Government contracting sales cycle is about 1.5 to 2 years. You get a checklist, and usually a closed bid, working with complete dumbasses who know nothing about anything, and then there is a committee that gets to evaluate your product based on a scoring sheet. That's the standard there. However, the people doing the scoring already know for whom they want to score higher and the winner is predetermined based off how well they lobbied prior to the presentation. They'll be either very nice to you during sale, or completely rude to justify low scoring and complaining. Presentation is just a formality most of the time, has to happen as regulation, but in reality the winner was predetermined a year ago. Just looks better than them blatantly writing in the name of the company whose product they want, which was quite widespread as a practice in California contracting.

Then the shit that most annoys me the most. The usual scammers, because shit is so fucking blatant. It is always some very well put together woman, tons of make up, designer clothes, completely full of shit, who shows up with some bullshit charity or outreach program for this and that. It never stops to amaze me how much people value the superficial appearances shit over real value. She does a presentation (formality) about how she'll be helping this or that underprivileged, abused, marginalized, struggling fill in the blank. The government committee in unison agrees that she is holier than holy, and needs to be given tons of money to establish her vision. No one ever complains, because there is absolutely no value in fighting it. There is no reward structure for stopping shit like that, but plenty of reward for having well funded friends. At some point she lobbied for that money, and this is just a formality to justify to the public her hand out. At the end all the money will go toward financing her life style, there will be NO help to actual people she claims to be helping. Remember Los Angeles Sheila Keuhl? And her no bid contract to a friend where city of LA helped 0 people while paying $8,000 per phone call taken? That's just tip of the iceberg, no bull. And when problem grows she'll just get more money again to not help. And that shit happens so damn much, it's one of the reasons why our government runs out of money. Because most money does go toward superficial fake bullshit. No accountability, no reporting, it's just "free" money for friends and bullshitters.

I've seen this for years, and fuck it never stopped pissing me off. I'm not naive, I see where money goes and how it gets there, and whole world is full of corruption. Every government program, every excuse for this and that, theres money being handed out somewhere. Just with taxes we all constantly pay, and sacrifices I have to make in my life in order to make ends meet... all this shit just pisses me off at times. And fucking government employees, complete fucking clueless socialist dumbasses. If you ever wonder whose child apples don't fall far from their parent apple tree, look no further. They have no business experience, no idea how to run anything, all they know and understand is hand outs and lobbying, and there's a lot of them. Hire one of those dumbasses and you'll see that that's literally all they know.
