I've noticed that in the past few years, a huge push to normalize single moms.

Fuck 'em.

GNL says

I don't think that is possible. They count all household income toward benefits. This is how families are broken up...women can leave their baby daddies knowing government will be there for them.

It is. Most married couples file jointly, single or separate. I'm doing it separately this year to pull some cash from the 401k. I'll pay little to no federal or state income tax on it, just the 10% penalty. That's not including self employed write offs. I might pay little or nothing. Can't avoid the 10% penalty unfortunately. My income after the wife's would be taxed at 35% and potentially 37% on those last dollars.

Hate pulling from it, but houses aren't cheap to build. My heritage is not good so 60-70 years is best case for me. Wife is independently wealthy on her own. $500k in life insurance on me at $18/mo. I'll still have another $300k left over and haven't truly worked in the last 6 years. Wife is pushing $2m. We're in good shape for 41.

I tried and could qualify for SSI disability currently. Made me feel dirty. So I stopped pursuing it. I don't want to be that guy. I can always get my money when I need it. I don't want to suck government tit.

The US Government created this problem.
If a female in a shitty household with a welfare mother wants to have her own place, she knows how; just have a kid of her own.
