The war is over for me now, but it will always be there, the rest of my days. I think now, looking back, we did not fight the enemy; WE FOUGHT OURSELVES. And the enemy was in us. The war is over for me now, but it will always be there, the rest of my days. As I'm sure Elias will be, fighting with Barnes for what Rhah called possession of my soul. There are times since, I've felt like the child born of those two fathers. But, be that as it may, those of us who did make it have an obligation to build again, to teach to others what we know, and to try with what's left of our lives to find a goodness and a meaning to this life." - Platoon
These folks coming together to hilariously reenact Saturday's Montgomery riverfront brawl is the stuff of MLK Jr's dreams
... But honestly, I hope the hilarious reenactment trend catches on; that was amazing, American, and more entertaining than anything coming out of Hollywood these days!
I know here in WNY, the Shriners are active in helping Amish with transportation and funding for hospital visits. The outrageous medical fees are really hitting the Amish hard.
Some blather I found about cancer and the Amish via Brave search:
The age-adjusted cancer incidence rate for all cancers among Amish adults is 60% of the age-adjusted rate for Ohio and 56% of the national rate. Tobacco-related cancers in Amish adults are 37% of the rate for Ohio adults, and non-tobacco-related cancers are 72% of the rate for Ohio adults.0 The Amish are protected against many types of cancer through their lifestyle, limited sexual partners, and genes that may reduce their susceptibility to cancer.4 However, Amish and Hutterites have unusually high rates of breast cancer and juvenile leukemia. A study published in the journal Cancer Causes and Control found virtually no instances of cancer among the Amish population of Holmes County, Ohio.
I'm going to try to include a positive meme with a message that helps to fill the void in people's souls. That void is currently exploited by the woke and Homo-globo Incorporated. But a positive view of the future would fill it much better and give people resistance to those evils.

I play in a band, and I always tell the rest "Play music that the honeys' like - they will attract the men, who will pay for the drinks, that will make the bar money, that will be pleased with the band, and will book the band again and pay them more money." Good tunes -> hoochies dancing -> good bar business -> bar likes band and gets more gigs.

At least play music that is relevant, and doesn't just appeal to the cows and sheep.
Genes are controlling their lives. As far as we know, we did not pick the genes that we came with. If we do not like the characteristics we have, we cannot change the genes. That leaves us with an unfortunate conclusion: We are victims of our heredity. Meaning, if there is cancer running in your family, well, anticipate that their gene for cancer is going to affect you and you are going to have cancer or cardiovascular disease or diabetes or Alzheimer’s or whatever those so-called hereditary issues are. So, we are powerless in controlling our biology, because the genes control it by turning on and off, and we have no control over them. A human body is actually a community of 50 trillion cells. the fate of the cell is controlled by the conditions of the environment. The blood composition is really the factor that controls the genetic response of the cell. So then, what controls the composition of the culture medium? The blood. So, the brain is the chemist. I know the brain is the chemist, but what chemistry should the brain put into the blood? The chemistry put into the blood by the brain is a direct complement to the picture we hold in our mind. In other words, the mind’s image is translated by the brain into chemistry, which then goes to the body to create a physical complement to the image in the mind. In ancient terms, back from the days of the Buddha, 2500 years ago, “What we believe, we become.” Basically, our perception changes the chemistry of our blood.– Bruce Lipton, PhD, Cell Biologist, UW Madison and Stanford

THIS. I didn't see this coming. Most people in the world didn't see this coming.

You can take the man out of the war but you can’t take the war out of the man
I think he is pefectly entitled to kill the man who raped him.
This is when justice in Saudi Arabian style is appropriate.

Just remember, this was true in the 1980s, 1990s, 2000's, 2010's, and not a single group though to report on this or to investigate on it.
Big pharma is dangerous and deadly. I knew people that worked in that field, they have no idea.
I expect they do get some cancers.
I'm pretty sure vaccines are linked to autism though.

Of the "population?" Are they including children if their parents own? Illegals?
They base it on households.

Very Zen. I am often the Gloomy Gus as depicted.
No need to be gloomy. In most instances. And for most people. We live in a great country, imo.
