Disney Studios (includes Pixar) are going to have to go through a renaissance like it did when Roy E Disney was running it.

They are going to have to find another Toy Story and Finding Nemo.

No one goes to the theater anymore. I just build my own theater at home. I'm not in a rush to be the first one to see a film. If I care I'll watch it when I want. Also with 3 boys and a wife that could give no shits about Snow White, we'd never have gone anyway. That's about 95% of the population.

So seeing empty seating charts really isn't a surprise. Production companies need to read their crowd better. Disney or anyone. Times are changing and so is tech in home. It's $1k to get as good as movie theater sound and if you have the budget $5-8k will blow away a movie theater run by teenagers.

Most modern movies blow anyway. Unless there's food and booze, there's no point in going to the movies. Just wait and spend $19, if that instead of $125 for a family of 5.
