Editing was chunky. Esp in the beginning. Waay to much opening exhibition. It has been said that if you have to have more than a minute of exhibition in the beginning of a film to explain WTF is going on, then you've made a shitty movie.

They had like five minutes of it.

Oh and they take a fucking 40 minutes or so to even get to the water part.

And all the evil characters are soulless white people who get a harder erection than Booger does because they kill whales.

Not exaggerating. That's the crux of it. They came back to Pandora to kill space whales. The unobtanium ores are secondary sht to that.

And when I mean they went after white ppl to cast as evil assholes, pretty much all of them. Plus a token Asian chick. You'll see. It was really over the top.

But otherwise it was good to watch. Just that Cameron should have done this 5 years ago.

I had the same problem with "Matrix Resurrections" last night when I tried to watch it on DVD last night with my wife.

Literally every evil person was a white man.

Literally every good person was ethnic in some way, or female.

But beyond that, it's a really bad movie, not worth the time. Lost money of course.

BTW, the only reason I got the video from the library was that I saw part of it being filmed in San Francisco when I was working at Craigslist in 2019. They filmed part of it on a rooftop across the street and we had a great view of them filming.

Yeah, they had an extended chase sequence on the Oakland freeways, too, as I recall.

Original Avatar sucked for me. I saw through all the climate change bullshit propaganda and was immediately turned off. I can't imagine how the sequel can be any better.

Exactly. As soon as any movie feels like it's preaching to me, I hate it.

I don't want to be preached to, not even about things I agree with.

Haha! I should have warned you.

That film was the worst of the 4, and 2 an 3 were terrible.

Just a terrible film, so terrible, I barely remember it. The worse a film is, the quicker I wipe it from my mind.

When I saw the original film, I was both a bit intoxicated and quite stoned. It was VISUALLY interesting, in 3d, but the plot is so thin. It really was Pocahontas in Space. I later tried to watch in again in standard 2d, I got 10 minutes into it.

The whole idea that a primitive tribe could fight off a space fairing civilization. It was also a "white savior" film. The "bad guys" were just so laughably BAAAD. They'd just nuke the planet from orbit. The Earthmen are just so stereotypically evil. I don't know, maybe I was just too old to see a film like that. It's more a children's/fantasy film.

I think I've pretty much grown out of ALL films now.

Carie-Ann Moss is 55 years old. She is popping up in several streaming series. Her ass and hips have widened considerably.

I really enjoyed Terminator 1 and Matrix 1; great science fiction action flics. The rest sucked. Just my opinion.
