Question: Why are they building these (actually) paved sidewalks in the middle of the street? How about a double yellow line instead?

Bottom line: You don't build a paved walkway for pedestrians in the middle of the street. This in my thinking is causing more accidents like the above.

Plenty of pork money and corruption. Same for those stupid bumpers in the parking lots at the front of the parking space, they serve no purpose, but plenty of people driver over them, esp. in a hasty exit from the parking lot where the space in front of them is empty so they can just leave forward. Or they scrape the bottom of the front bumper by parking close to it and hanging over, potentially also loosening the front bumper. I'd fire any of those retard "planners", likely leftoids.
