Jennifer Angel was an avowed anarchist, yet, she ran after her robbers and it cost her her life. Why didn't she just allow them to get away? Or, do anarchists only care about 'laws' when it only effects them?

From the article:

Jennifer Angel was leaving her parking spot in the lot of the Wells Fargo on the 2000 block of Webster Street on Monday afternoon when a car pulled up in front of her and blocked her from leaving, her fiance, Ocean Mottley, told The Chronicle. A robber then broke her passenger side window and grabbed something from the car, after which Angel ran after the suspects, Mottley said.

In the process of trying to chase them down, Angel, 48, got caught in the door of the fleeing vehicle and was dragged more than 50 feet before falling in the middle of the street, hitting her head multiple times, Mottley said.

PS: Another possibility; Angel might have noticed that her robbers weren't wearing masks and she chased after them in order to inform them that they should also be up to date on their 'boosters'?

Darwin microcosm in action. She didn't want to pay her reparations tax after all?

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but if we don't prosecute criminals, won't they be encouraged and left to commit crimes on other individuals, like some future 'Jen?'

This is the governments definition of anarchy, which means it's a lie. The real definition is the absence of government, meaning if there's a problem you handle it yourself. The only issue I see is a real anarchist would have been more prepared and shot those robbers down.

I can agree with that to an extent. However, anarchists have limitations as far as the implementation of their 'ideals.' The reason being is that they are operating within the framework of a civilized society that is by and large being governed by laws, with government officials enforcing those laws.

Anarchy is simply defined as:

Absence of any form of political authority. (We have a 'political authority' which cannot be denied)

Political disorder and confusion. (Antifa & Black Lives Matter, Marxists, etc.)

Absence of any cohesive principle, such as a common standard or purpose. (The enemy is the state, doesn't matter what you believe or adhere to, as long as you want to destroy the governing body)

IMO, your definition of "... meaning, if there's a problem you handle it yourself" actually defines vigilanteism, and not anarchy.

Jennifer Angel's family want to 'honor her social justice values' by not prosecuting ...

Anti-police baker died after violent robbery, family doesn't want criminals linked to her death prosecuted as a way to honor her social justice values

https://www.theblaze.com/news/baker-death-robbery-oakland-prosecuted-criminals-oakland

Is unpunished crime now considered to be a 'social value?'

Government back organizations, so no, not anarchist.

Because only government can give us this?

vigilanteism

Another word made up by government. Vigilantes skirt the system for specific purposes, anarchists leave the system entirely.

Let's really think this through. Civilized like punching people in the face if they don't wear a mask? Firing them from a job when they don't take an experimental shot? Kicking them out of school. Stealing elections, choking people to death for selling cigarettes? Constructing monuments to a thug and woman abuser? Blowing up natural gas pipelines? Turing whole countries into wastelands with constant drone strikes, sanctions, and war? That's your civilized society?

Laws != morality. Everything Hitler, Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot did was legal.

I don't count on government to protect my family, that's why I have guns. I don't count on them to feed me, that's why I establish relationships with local farmers. And I definitely won't count on them when shit hits the fan, that's why I joined of group of anarchists.

I visited an old Indian ruin in New Mexico a while ago, near town of Aztec. The site also contained an old farm which had some memories written down by the original settler. He said, we had no crime whatsoever for 10 years until they organized the county and introduced police.

I think this nicely answers question of what is better, so-called anarchy or government, at least on local level.

They can be all the anarchists they want, when they advocate to free a killer who would be easily convicted and removed from society, they hurt the next person. Not everyone owns guns. I have no problems with anarchists, but anarchy only works if bad hombres are removed, either forever by the "good" anarchists or via jail by some sort of anarchist minimal govt (if they don't want to kill them).

What they call anarchists these days are not real ones but very much soy “anarchists”
I’d like to see what Makhno would think about these soy persons

I guess it all depends non how you define “anarchist.” If you mean a person with internal morality that conflicts with laws and who disregards those laws to uphold his own personal values, I think I qualify. If the law goes against my own values, I don’t dump my own values, I disregard the law.

Taking a principled stand against fascism for instance, is a valuable tool to fight against authoritarianism. And we have quite recently had to exercise this form of anarchism, standing against the fascism of lockdowns and vax mandates that Democrats have perpetrated on the populace.

Advocate to who? Remember, there is no government for an anarchist.

There's something very sick about people and people's families/friends who don't want punishment for people who did heinous things in a calculated way to them or their loved ones.

There's a sadomachistic thread in some people, they enjoy punishment and empathize with the asshole.

Like Pacificists in the 1930s or the Chicks that Love Serial Killers.
