Yes, we should let them be if they are adults, but WE SHOULDN'T be giving them the benefit of the doubt when it comes to recognizing that they, HAVE A MENTAL ILLNESS.

It's clearly mental illness, but it's a mental illness which can be induced in susceptible people, like teen girls who are uncomfortable with growing up.
People have the right to do stupid things, but we must draw the line at the profit- and ideology-driven sexual mutilation of children. That must stop.

Beginning several years ago, a young girl of about 20 years old has often helped us at the service counter. She was a fairly attractive young lady, but recently, I noticed a note pinned to her 'shirt' that stated "Preferred Pronouns: He/Him." During a recent visit, I asked her for help in finding an item and noticed that her voice was a very contrived lower octave, similar to Elizabeth Holmes. She also displayed a tough, man-like, demeanor that she had never shown before.
This experience left me with the overwhelming impression that the poor girl was suffering a severe mental/emotional disorder.
