“I can’t remember the last fatality due to turbulence,” says top aviation official.

A top Washington lawyer who served under the Clinton and Obama administrations was killed on a plane that experienced severe turbulence as it flew over New England last week.

Dana J. Hyde, 55, was one of five passengers onboard the DC-bound aircraft from New Hampshire on Friday when it diverted to Bradley International Airport in Connecticut after encountering turbulence.

Officials said Hyde was immediately transported to Saint Francis Medical Center in Hartford after the plane landed, where she was pronounced dead that evening. ...

Hyde’s husband and two children were also onboard the aircraft during the incident but reportedly suffered no injuries. ...

In addition to working in the Clinton and Obama White Houses, Hyde also served on the 9/11 Commission.

Hmmm.

Not all news is bad.

At least they didn't crash the whole airplane to kill one person. Clintons are mopping up some loose ends. Any buddies from their past who might be considered loose ends should probably go into witness protection.

They likely weren't wearing their seat belts in a private jet. Happens more often than you think. Just search videos of severe turbulence. Could just be coincidence. It will fracture you skull or snap your neck in one second if you're not belted up. Outside of taking a piss, I'm belted in. Anything I need is under the seat in front of me. I've had rough enough flights that I'd have been tossed into the ceiling if I didn't have the belt on.

Also used to landing at Midway. If you have you'll know what I'm talking about. You could be pass out drunk, you're waking up on that landing because your head will slam into the seat in front of you or you'll be on the ground or 10 aisles up.

Denver sucks, but that's generally the smoothest landing since they have 10k' runways due to altitude. Shittiest airport to taxi at though. Takes 10 minutes just to even get to a runway with no traffic and going quick. No checked bags it takes 30 minutes just to get out, minimum. It's awful.

I don't care about the Clinton thing. That's looking for a needle in the haystack you'll never find.

Ex-Clinton Lawyer Killed by ‘Turbulence’ during Flight

A high-profile former Clinton lawyer has been killed in a freak incident that caused no other injuries after the plane she was traveling on hit turbulence during the flight.

The passenger killed in the incident has been named by authorities as Dana J. Hyde.

Hyde, 55, served as a top attorney in the administrations of former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.

She also once served on the 9/11 Commission.

I suspect a vaxx death actually. A bit of adrenalin seems to kill vaxxed people quite frequently.

Midway is only about 3 miles from where I lived from ages zero to nine. I didn't notice it to be particularly bad on flights I did to there later in life.

On a flight from Istanbul to Budapest when I did a foreign study year in Europe, the plane suddenly came in at about 45 degrees down. That was, uh, exciting.

I guess being garroted could be considered a form of turbulence, just like Epstein was considered a form of suicide.
