Saudi Arabia fears Iran as a future nuclear power. The US under Biden will not stop Iran from developing nukes. Maybe China convinced the Saudis that Iran may not see the need for a nuke if they have better relations.

I'm sure the Chinese gave some coin and other concessions to Iran, which needs every shekel. Saudis couldn't give a fuck about money, but looks like they're willing to cooperate for some reason. Peace with Iran (and their forthcoming nukes) might be death to Israel?

They are asking for Hamas to jon peacetalks.

I know it's an Iranian propaganda site, but it is significant that China hosted this meeting. It looks like China's influence is growing and the US's is declining.
